360-degree feedback, also known as 360-degree appraisal, is a system or procedure through which employees of an organization anonymously receive feedback from the individuals with whom they work closely, usually bosses, coworkers, subordinates, and customers. 360 Degree feedback often comprises a questionnaire that each rater, including the employee being assessed, must complete and rate on a scale and provide remarks and comments to support the assessment. The goal of 360-degree feedback is to provide a holistic view of an employee. Multi-rater feedback, often known as anonymous feedback, entails multiple stakeholders anonymously rating an employee on a set of workplace competencies. Every competency required for the function in question is linked to one or more survey statements.
