Best budgeting app ever
YNAB is the greatest budgeting app on the market! I love that it’s basically the envelope system in app form, how you can connect your bank account, how easy it is to split purchases, and how great it is for a married couple to share. 100/10 recommend to everyone possible!

YNAB gives us financial control
Before using YNAB, we had no idea how much money we were spending in each category - turns out once we put the effort in to track where our money was going, we were surprised at categories like groceries costing way more than we thought. With YNAB we're able to get a better sense of where our money is going, and proactively ensure we have enough set aside. Stopped me from lying to myself, a new job on the way, and no more impulse purchases!
I started YNAB because I've had years of money issues and tons of credit card debt due to sickness. I've tried spreadsheets but updating them every month was too anxiety inducing, and once I fell off, there was no getting back on, and the debt would continue to build. This app/program/website is simple enough to set up, and then the set up is complete. I just have to go and mark when I've purchased something if I have the time in the moment, and review my receipts at the end of the week ...

The experience has been great and…
The experience has been great and really helps to keep track of the expenses. I like the link feature that automatically uploads the bank information. However, as someone who likes to have check and balance immediately, it is hard for me to wait until they come through YNAB to attribute categories and approve. When it's not linked it was easier, but I'm trying to be flexible on how I do things. :-)

Genuinely a life changing app!
I've always budgeted money but not in the way YNAB does it. So when I stumbled across it (one year ago) I was a little sceptical that it wouldn't make much difference but boy I was wrong. It's changed my whole perception around money, what I've got, what I need to spend and save. YNAB works.
I think that the YNAB approach to budgeting makes the most sense to me ... To only budget dollars you have and save for future spend with the flexibility to make changes easily as they happen. It enalbes me to spend gulit-free according to our priorities. i am encouraging my adult children to give it a try.
