WPEngine provides hosting for websites that need the fastest, most reliable user experience. No shared hosting here. But... you pay an exorbitant price for such a high-quality environment. Our agency has been using WP Engine for a long time, and they always deliver excellent customer service. Whether it is helping troubleshoot server settings or something with one of our WordPress websites, they are always ready and willing to help. I've only been dealing with WPEngine a few weeks due to been a developer for a company that hosts with them. So far, I've had good experiences with tech support and they seem to be on their "game". I need that for sure! Thinking about bringing my accounts over to host with them soon.

Hard sell tactics to move companies to the most expensive solutions

After moving our site to an emergency site because of Bot traffic and effectively taking our website down for half a day, WP Engine sales team is serving up only one alternative and hard selling us to move from Startup plan ($30/month) to the white glove dedicated server plan for $800/month because we're averaging 30K visits/mo. on a plan that accommodates 25K. Totally ignoring the 3 other plans past Startup including the plan that accommodates 400K/mo. in traffic for a mere $179/month. ...

Our decision to migrate our WordPress multisite to WP Engine is confirmed in part by our interactions with tech support. I have found the wait times to be reasonable, the support people to be friendly and understanding, and the results to be very helpful. I do my part by struggling for a while on my own to try the things I can think of and to try suggestions offered by the AI. Sometimes I need a person, and WP Engine folks really come through for me!
