Powerful website

What do you like best? Its really easy to use and setup. I payed someone to build my site, but once I got control of it, was a little bummed how easy it was. Should have built it myself. What do you dislike? Bit of a learning curve to figure it out. If you're semi tech savvy it shouldn't be a problem. Probably my template, but remember to save often. Recommendations to others considering the product Before paying someone, go buy the template and check it out. Its probably not as ...

Best Open Source Platform

What do you like best? This is by far the most user friendly cms I've ever used. From day one learning how to set up the backend, template to the custom css the support from the community has been amazing. There are so many templates free and cheep or chic and payed for, the options are limitless. What do you dislike? How some companies use this platform and charge their clients outrageous amounts of cash to set it up and "customize" it. It's so easy anyone can do it but many ...

The standard in CMS. Integrates with...everything.

What do you like best? Wordpress has been around for so long that almost everything integrates with it at this point. And easily, too. I consider Wordpress to be the standard in CMS, blogging and simple (and some not so simple website development. I've built everything from blogs and one-page personal websites, to complex e-comm and corporate sites. It's easy to fly through development once you're acclimated, and there is absolutely no shortage of tutorials and how-to material floating ...

Great CMS for Smaller Sites

What do you like best? WordPress is extremely flexible and when combined with the right theme, you can quickly create custom websites. Most people tend to think of WordPress as just for creating a blog but by using the "static page as homepage" option, you can create a great looking home page. The rest of the site can then be filled in with "pages" and, of course, it has a great blog. What do you dislike? It can be a little daunting, and time consuming, to find the right themes. ...

The most advanced publishing platform

What do you like best? Its open source structure – many programmers openly share their code online, which results in the ability of users to save developing time and costs by using existing code already written Its simplicity – WordPress is a simple system to operate. The Webmaster hardly needs to spend time learning the system before he/she can begin to work with and edit the site content. In addition, the system is simple to install – which means there’s no need for a high-level ...

WordPress is solid

What do you like best? Easily manipulated aesthetically. It is easy to teach workers how to make a post, add SEO tags, and share content. What do you dislike? If you do not purchase a relatively expensive plan, especially for personal use, it is difficult to edit HTML and highly customize your content. Recommendations to others considering the product Your website may be somewhat template-esque if you do not purchase a higher level account. If you do, you can have a wonderfully ...

Great blogging platform, but comes with some risk

What do you like best? WordPress is an easy and quick way to get a website started. You may think that WordPress is just a blogging software, but that is wrong, WordPress is so much more. There are plugins for using WordPress as an advanced CMS, or as a shop, or as a page for collecting user reviews, and much more! You can basically do anything with it, and it has a big market share. What do you dislike? Often it goes unnoticed that plugins didn't receive updates for a longer ...

The standard, but not easy.

What do you like best? Everyone uses it. It has a ton of plugins. You can customize it a lot. In fact you can customize it way too much until it is not even a blog anymore. Wordpress is kind of the standard for the internet. If you want to use some service, there will probably be a Wordpress plugin for it. However, since everyone uses it, the community is very watered down and hard to manage. The Wordpress support forums are pretty bad. When they work, they work great, but it is ...

Lovely CMS and off course on the market so long that it integrates with everything

What do you like best? It's basically to me the #1 CMS system. I am not a web developer but managed to create a very nice website with this product! It's not live yet as we speak but it will be in a month: http://www.silicic-acid.com . As said I'm not a developer nor do I do web so decide for yourselves if this the right CMS for you. What do you dislike? The installation and hosting can be a bit of a challenge, but I tackled that by watching online videos and tutorials to learn. ...
