Easy to use platform for the web

What do you like best? Easy to use with no technical knowledge - after a quick walkthrough, I could publish posts, upload images, add tags etc. immediately. Now if I need to do something else - e.g. change some menus around - I can do so myself pretty easily. What do you dislike? We've required a bit more design/development work, and our developer has complained a couple of times about WordPress making certain things more complex than necessary. I can't really speak about this as I ...

Wordpress is Easy and Looks Good

What do you like best? Wordpress is a very easy platform to use for many different things. Whether it's a simple blog or something more of a writer's portfolio, it's fairly easy to use and it's customizable in very easy ways that make it look good. What do you dislike? There isn't much that I don't like about Wordpress. Of course, it can't give you the same freedom that creating one's own blog from scratch gives you, but it fulfills its purpose: Being an easy to use blogging platform ...

making wed design easy for everyone

What do you like best? The templates solve most of the developing problems, leaving the user free to concentrate on the content, or even tweak the interface design. The content management area is stragithforward and easy to use, even for those who are not experienced. Free templates are widely available, and cover most possible needs of different kinds of users. What do you dislike? Free templates are practical, but that can sometimes lead to a lot of websites looking alike. If you ...

A Great Content Management System

What do you like best? In my personal opinion Wordpress is a great content management system. It's really friendly user, the idea to add plugins it's really. if you need support it's easy to get free and paid support. You can get any web server to run it and you don't get many issues to install it. What do you dislike? Plugins are some times get deprecated, this isn't really a wordpress issue, but the developers who can't maintain to the development wordpress is going. This is a great ...

I Use WordPress.org Exclusively for Website and Blog Design and Development

What do you like best? The amount of flexibility you have and the amount of options available to create any type of website or blog. What do you dislike? If you have dozens of websites and blogs on multiple domains you have to go in and manage each one of them. I wish there was a solution for managing all of them from one dashboard. Recommendations to others considering the product I founded the Chicago WordPress Meetup Group in 2008 and I also teach a 1-Day Wordpress Workshop. I ...

An Essential Blogging Tool

What do you like best? WordPress has a wide range of design templates to use and they are constantly refreshed and updated. This is also a very easy to use application that can be utilized by smartphone and tablet, making it easy to use even outside of the office and on the go. What do you dislike? The free analytics are very basic and don't provide a wide range of data. Recommendations to others considering the product No matter what your skill is when it comes to blogging or ...

Great system for building websites, but held back by legacy code

What do you like best? There's an endless amount of prebuilt plugins and themes available for WordPress, which can be used to build a site very quickly. Also due to being written in PHP it runs nearly everywhere, which hosting fees often under 5$. Also it's a very reliable system, rather simple, with a great user experience. It has the best user experience of all open source CMS. Security is taken seriously and core updates happen regularly. What do you dislike? Security is the biggest ...

Versatile and powerful CMS

What do you like best? How easily you can customize the implementation of a Wordpress installation, weather you need extra Post Types, level of classification, etc. Also the community is great and there are a lot of great plugins that simplify everyones life (both developers and users What do you dislike? During some earlier versions, if you wanted to add some video from let's say youtube, you had to do pretty weird stuff, like writing a post in raw form, which would break ...

Great for Blogging and Content Marketing

What do you like best? Easy to get up and running. It makes creating and publishing to a blog simple. It is easy enough to get a custom theme up, since there are so many of them, but customizing the theme can be tricky without an understanding of web development. What do you dislike? The program is overused as a website builder and I don't believe it's the correct tool for that. I also find the rich text editor to be lacking. Many of the plugins are a mess, causing the entire site to ...
