Best Open Source Platform Out There

What do you like best? WordPress allows you the flexibility to have a fully custom site, or if you're a beginner like me, the ability to have a template site up and running fairly quickly. Also the plugins make it nice so you don't have to program anything, say a GA snippet. What do you dislike? I've helped build some major websites and you definitely need a programmer to modify the template code. I had a website where I just wanted to add two columns to a page, and since the template ...

WordPress.com is a great platform for content management

What do you like best? WordPress makes it easy to write, edit, and publish content on our company website/blog. It's easy to compose and organize text and images, manage metadata (including SEO stuff, and schedule posts as part of our marketing strategy. What do you dislike? I would prefer to have more granular options for text editing without having to switch over to HTML, and occasionally the editor is really unfriendly with adding images. Other than that, nearly every issue that ...

Experience with Wordpress

What do you like best? I liked the fact that Wordpress is such a powerful platform, and provides the top notch web design and hosting support out there. You basically have every design potential available and at your fingertips. The backend is very comprehensive, and allows you to make endless customizations. What do you dislike? Wordpress was far too difficult for me to figure out on my own. I just tried something as simple as installing a theme and trying to tweak it, but it was so ...

What do you like best? Wordpress has incredible flexibility when it comes to building your website, and managing its content. With hundreds of thousands of themes to choose from, you never have to design from scratch. You also have tons of plugins available for download to meet all your needs. I have built multiple sites for myself and for clients all using WordPress. What do you dislike? The learning curve for WordPress can be a little steep at the beginning, especially when working ...

Wordpress makes running a website easy for even novice business owners!

What do you like best? I've been working online for about 5 years now and blogging has been a huge part of that. Wordpress makes running a professional looking site easy and amazing. Since switching to wordpress so many years ago, I've been able to maintain a professional looking site with some powerful features to really enhance my readers experience. What do you dislike? CSS. Lol. Learning wordpress' special coding {CSS} can be a little scary and intimidating. I wish that I had a ...

Wordpress Makes Me Stress

What do you like best? I haven't found anything I am truly head over heels for with Wordpress. It's all very confusing for a small business owner who does not have time to plug this, update this, avatar that. What do you dislike? EVERYTHING. Everyone kept telling me WP is it, it's the new thing, it's where you belong. I've been here for two years and hate it. It's frustrating. My analytics have tanked. I feel like I am working more on my site than my actual work with clients. I cannot ...

WordPress, still the easiest Open Source blogging platform.

What do you like best? Install it and start blogging. It is hard to beat the WordPress out of the box blogging experience; that is why it was made and it still holds to that core function today. WordPress has evolved into a pretty strong quasi-CMS platform with a really great collection of templates, plugins, and integrations. Many people with come to WordPress for the blogging platform, pick a template that is easy to tweak for their business or organization, and gradually add plugins ...

The best CMS out there!

What do you like best? I love that Wordpress is complicated enough to do some crazy awesome things but simple enough that almost anyone can log-in and make small cha nges. What do you dislike? Constant non-stop updates of plug-ins and themes. I log into my account almost daily and almost every day there is something I have to update. Recommendations to others considering the product Make the switch. Whether you have a nerd managing your site or not Wordpress is simple yet powerful. ...

The standard for online publishing

What do you like best? It's easy to get people up to speed with the platform. I've used it to train a lot of writers over the years, and it's far easier for them to figure out than some other high-cost CMSes. It's open-source, which cuts both ways: You will probably need a host or a vendor to do some hand-holding, but if you're running a simple platform, you could most certainly maintain it yourself. What do you dislike? I wish it had better Markdown support, because that's what I ...

Wordpress experience

What do you like best? I like that it is a way to make a page for yourself or private business without hiring an expert. However there is still a lot of learn of course when you do it. I love that if you just need a simple page there are free templates and pages available. What do you dislike? There isn't a lot of freedom to make the page exactly how you want it to look. I wish it was still a little more user friendly, because I definitely needed help from my friend who knows ...
