Easy content management for any website

What do you like best? I like that non-developers can pretty easily manage the content and even design. I like the huge amount of plugins and themes available. I like that there are plugins to help secure it, but wish that was part of the base product. What do you dislike? I'm always nervous on any update - to Wordpress itself, themes and plugins. We've had problems with updates in the past. It feels like a huge mess of not very modern PHP with a huge attack vector. Trying to ...

Top of the Line Web Based Content Management Software

What do you like best? I love that you can take a basic WordPress install and turn it into absolutely anything that you need. It is capable of creating everything including e-commerce sites, membership sites, blogs, business websites and more. Because of the size of the WordPress community, there are plenty of ways to get support and help when running into problems as well. If we can't figure out how to do something, there's a very good chance someone else has already done it and we can ...

Great for smaller companies that need a central hub.

What do you like best? Very easy to use and setup. We have a very small development team with little to no knowledge of HTML or any web interfaces and this does a very good job of making it easy. There is no HTML needed unless you want more customization. What do you dislike? Very generic selection, many sites look identical to one another. Also very oriented to "blog" style sites where everything is about information rather than interaction (ie. commenting and posting, but no ...

WordPress: Fast and Easy

What do you like best? WordPress is extremely easy to install. More and more hosts even have a one-click installations script. Once installed the interface is relatively straightforward even for relatively non-technical users. While it can be unclear what the best way to configure a new site and which plugins are essential and which others are best for particular uses, there are plenty of guides online that speak to this. The other nice feature of WordPress is the huge range of themes ...

Great Building Blocks

What do you like best? Wordpress has an active community with many resources for helping find the information you need. If you are brand new to web design or an old pro, Wordpress is easy startup but also very powerful for those a bit more savvy. What do you dislike? Still has some remaining features that remind you that it was originally intended as a blog format. Recommendations to others considering the product Great for small business and startup companies that would like to ...

WordPress is the best for small business

What do you like best? It's free, has a huge community of users that help each other, tons of 3rd party resources and nearly infinitely extensible. What do you dislike? The weight of the MySQL server on the web server is huge and bottlenecks load times on basic hosting plans. Recommendations to others considering the product Determine whether you really need wordpress. If your business could be served well with SquareSpace and the like, WordPress.org will be overkill. But if you ...

This is the best CMS you will ever use!

What do you like best? Wordpress CMS is easy to use, intuitive, and great for both beginners and advanced users alike. With plenty of customization options, plugins, and themes, you can truly make a custom website of your own. What do you dislike? Because of its popularity, the plugin library has become bloated with thousands of similar or less powerful plugins. I find I need to do research and search for recommendations for a specific plugin before I actually try to download one. I'd ...

Robust website solution for businesses and bloggers!

What do you like best? Wordpress.org is my favorite online tool. I love how flexible it is in allowing the user to create literally any kind of website and have full control over it, as well! What do you dislike? There was a bit of a learning curve at first, and wish there were more user-friendly features throughout - especially in the installation and migration stages. Recommendations to others considering the product Definitely consider hiring help for the installation portion, ...

Great Product, Easy to Navigate and Set Up

What do you like best? Very easy to set up and customize for your particular use. What do you dislike? A little hard to navigate, but once you get the hang of it they are very consistent in their layout and development. Recommendations to others considering the product Make sure that you give yourself time to set up your back of the house system to ensure ease of use in future postings. Taking time on the front end will save you time when you're posting on a regular basis. What ...

Flexible, versatile website management software

What do you like best? Wordpress is incredibly customizable and easy to deploy, even with limited web dev skills. They have a really straightforward 5 minute setup process, and from there, web admins have a lot of tools to build out a functioning content management system or public-facing blog. The widgets and tools available add to the customizability, and there's no programming knowledge required to get started. What do you dislike? Without a good understanding of HTML and CSS, there ...
