Great library of functions, and has three features that really spoil you and if you learn them you will feel every other language is lacking: 1. interactive help menus, 2. "Everything is an expression", and 3. Slotting. Once you 'get' those three things, it's the only data processing system you'll use.

Libraries, notebooks, excellent documentation with examples, interactivity with command manipulate, computational geometry, one of the best in areas such as (image processing, machine learning, neural networks, data science etc...) interactive visualizations, real world data, specialized functions.
