Easily search for and download news stories

What do you like best? Intuitive queries API for repeatable data downloads What do you dislike? Limit of 100 stories per API call. So I have to loop through the API calls to get all the matching stories. This makes the process much slower and prone to errors (e.g. internet connection drops out). What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Predicting viral news stories. Demo text mining.

Data provided by Webhose.io is useful for cyber-security

What do you like best? I did like the fact that it was so easy to integrate our solution, Listening 247, with Webhose.io' provided data. Consultants Yuval and Amir were very prompt to address any issue within a very short time frame. What do you dislike? Our interaction with Webhose.io was smooth and there's nothing I dislike. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I have used Webhose.io as a data source for a cyber-security R&D project. ...

Generally good experience, when it isn't my issues are taken care of quite quickly

What do you like best? The responses of the support team and the consistency of the data are the major upsides. What do you dislike? There are some missing features, mainly the reddit support is still not holistic enough and missing some filtering options like specifying a specific case sensitive word search. Documentation is not necessarily the most up to date and I discovered some filters by change like thread.uuid. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

Clean data scraping of web forum and blogs

What do you like best? The api are easy to use and provide full control for language and source selection. It is possible to specify individual domains, though not new ones to my knowledge. The preview feature is fantastic for real time feedback to our clients. Overall, the web interface and the api have been very useful to us in assisting our own clients. So far, Webhose is the cheapest solution for getting this data. What do you dislike? Not possible to add particular domains to be ...

Huge Amounts of Data for our Product

What do you like best? The amount of data that comes in through webhose is massive, it's more than the other providers we tested. The Python API is quite useful as well. Support is pretty good, too, they typically answer most questions within a couple of hours. What do you dislike? You cannot use your regular credits to get data older than 30 days but instead have to pay additionally if you want to access old data. Besides, the data is not enriched, i.e. you don't really know about ...

An affordable Meltwater

What do you like best? It's a cheap (at the basic level, free) coverage tool that lets me track most coverage. What do you dislike? Short URLs are a pain if on free version. There are several publications that it doesn't pick up, but it does at least get the majority. Recommendations to others considering the product: You'll need to understand basics of JSON, We find it easier to import directly to the workbook Is also good to have an RSS feed extension so you can be ...
