Easy to use POS

PROS: It is a user-friendly POS and making changes can be done on the fly. This makes it easier for us to improve and change our menu. CONS: There were some issues with IOS software updates. The good thing is their customer support resolves this with any problem.

Upserve > LAVU

PROS: The customer service employees are some of the best I have ever come across. They are extremely informative, helpful and efficient. They are personable in the sense that they can adapt their tones of voice to make you more comfortable. The system itself has a search option on the menu portion, allowing you to ring up products quickly.

Absolutely horrendous customer service

Absolutely horrendous customer service. I am on hour 7 of trying to get a hold of someone to help us with a printer issue that was a problem from the beginning of installation. A little back story: we converted to upserve right before shut down and had only been open for one day with our new POS. During that one shift the printer refused to print tickets and receipts. We sat on hold for an hour and a half with no resolution. Shutdown occurred and they continued to charge a monthly fee ...

Was having a problem getting something added to the menu and I used the chat and was able to get my problem resolved quickly.

Very patient

A piece of our terminal was damaged and needs replacement. The Upserve support rep was super helpful on the phone. He looked up my device by serial number to determine if it was still under warranty. When he discovered it wasn't, he helped me with solutions to replace the broken item. I appreciate his patience and support!

Nightclub install

Getting in touch with the on site technician was challenging and having an actual person available for training would have been ideal. Otherwise, it was smooth.

The upserve team was quick to sort out every issue that I have encountered, usually because i am new to this and there is some user error on my behalf, but now im running smooth.

Current day update to POS systems

PROS: Back of house system to review checks, sales and everything else is quick and easy and does not require remoting into a server. CONS: The system could use a better method of notification if there is a loss of internet connectivity and a credit card that is "authorized" offline comes back as decline after the processor is back online.

Restaurant POS that you need to look at.

PROS: Great easy to use restaurant POS/back end system. Compared to managing your own server and associated headaches, this is a win. CONS: Could be a little easier to use the time cards function etc area from the web, but not the end of the world.
