Worked on the CMS as frontend developer, is completly frustarting tool.

What do you like best? It has many options, and I'm sure is pretty powerful. What do you dislike? Making any changes on the frontend is excruciating. Recommendations to others considering the product: There are many other optins, much better supported and not so convoluted. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It was the tool used by the company that hired us, we didn't had many option more than work with it.

It’s been around. If you used it in the past, give it a second look

What do you like best? TYPO3 has been around for a long time. In a world where products are coming and going and the trends change it is nice to know that some products are around forever. TYPO3 is flexible and free. It’s powerful and has great potential to fill the gaps where many products have holes. What do you dislike? TYPO3 has a bit of a learning curve and while it does offer great power and flexibility it can be a chore at times, to no particular fault of its own, but due to ...

Ready-Made Extensions

What do you like best? TYPO3 bright side is the ability to create multiple and independent types of content on every page separately. For instance, you may create regular text, forms, file links, multimedia, etc What do you dislike? You can only use this if you have more than 20 pages What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Helps me a lot with content management

Not entirely user friendly

What do you like best? Being able to update our website from anywhere. What do you dislike? Not as user friendly as one would like. Just wish it was a little more intuitive. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Website design.

Works Well, but Complicated

What do you like best? Keeps my site organized and maintained. What do you dislike? It is a great way to edit and maintain your website. However, it’s not entirely user friendly. Too many steps to get things done/fixed. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Website maintence.

Good desktop experience, poor mobile experience

What do you like best? The left column of tools make it easy to navigate while the search feature is extremely helpful for jumping straight to the page i need. What do you dislike? the mobile experience on smartphone and tablets is extremely poor. Making one or two small edits can take minutes on a smartphone compared to seconds on a desktop. A proper Android/iOS app would go a long way to making Typo3 more productive for its users. Recommendations to others considering the ...

One of the fastest developing CMS systems in the market, which is still very stable API wise

What do you like best? Awesome UX / UI, it's fast and the developments of the last years are awesome What do you dislike? There are millions of extensions out there which are sometimes confusing. Recommendations to others considering the product: just check it out, try it with the introduction package and choose an agency with certified developers and integrators. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are building ...

TYPO3 is professional equipment you will enjoy very much after a steep learning curve.

What do you like best? This is professional software, used by local governments, universities, German premier league football, airlines, broadcasting stations, national tax institution and many more. The community is vibrant, the software is very much focused on compliance with current standards (MVC / , DDD / Domain driven design, security). In fact, Dutch national signin with social security number (SSN) was built with this software (www.digid.nl). It is also very fast because of the ...
