Efficient and Reliable

I have been using TaxCalc for several years now for our practice, and it has proven to be an excellent tool. We rely on it for filing self assessments, company accounts, and corporation tax returns. One of the features that we find incredibly convenient is the ability to import directly from Quickbooks, Xero, and Freeagent into TaxCalc. This functionality saves us a lot of time and effort. I see that not all TaxCalc’s customers…

I see that not all TaxCalc’s customers are happy campers. But I have just completed four complex UK tax returns—a trust SA900 and two nonresident SA109s, and my own SA100 with SA106 foreign matters and I found the software straightforward and its calculations clear. I won’t be using HMRC’s free online software even when I can. I will use TaxCalc for our CT600 later this year. I have used other firms in the past but I’m pleased that TaxCalc was ready to go as soon as the 2022-23 tax year ...

I had to change from another software…

I had to change from another software service that has discontinued the service. I was concerned I had to adapt to another type of software but TaxCalc was easy to use. Just make sure you know your UTR(unique tax reference) from HMRC and Tax Reference(National Insurance Number) before you proceed.

DO NOT DO IT! Having tried for a year to use we have given up. Its not easy to use, there is no training. The Jobs and tasks don't work.There is no easy workflow. Everything has been designed to be complicated and so linked with each other that it doesn't work. Stay with spreadsheets rather than go to taxcalc.

Review of Taxcalc and its ability to deal with S104 calculations

I have been using Taxcalc to prepare and file the annual accounts and CT600 for a small investment company I own for a number of years. I have found the software generally good and helpful in trying to assist with these tasks. It does seem to crash occasionally but closing and reopening it seems to work and no data was lost. My company owns some listed shares, and this is a S104 holding (bought and sold the same shares at different times) and needs indexation calculation to be carried out ...

Just GARBAGE!

Just GARBAGE!! Having been a client for quite a few years the recent updates make the system worse and worse every time they come out. To the point where it doesn't even work properly now. If you use the software on the new version today your accounts WILL BE WRONG!!! Try anything else, nothing can be this bad...

Doesn't work properly on Apple devices

Doesn't work properly on Apple devices. They issue "work-arounds" but these take a lot of messing around. I lost all of this years data. They have a help line, who try to be helpful, but this all takes time which rather defeats the object!

Fantastic product

Fantastic product, does all what I need and more. And nice to deal with an independent company which is becoming a rarity in the accountancy software sector.
