Great product

What do you like best? I enjoy the ease of use of TP when compared to other similar types of software. Specifically, this organisation temporarily moved to another product (HP AGM and within a year, moved back. Creating sub-states is a very useful. What do you dislike? Learning curve regarding nomenclature but that can be aligned with practices within organisations. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Cross departmental ...

Target Process - where you can track your progress

What do you like best? I like the way the data is represented to the end users. And the filters option to sort out based on queries. It is easy to use and more understandable What do you dislike? When it comes to performance target process needs to improve a bit. As testing engineer, our daily work is dependent on target process and we face in performance issue sometimes like unable to upload attachments, unable to change the status of bug. Apart from that everything seems ...

Effect Project Management, Tech Know-How Required

What do you like best? I like the visual display of projects and the ability to arrange them according to timeline and priority. What do you dislike? I dislike that I am not tech savvy enough to run amok with TP and its options. Recommendations to others considering the product In my experience, TP is best used when juggling multiple projects, or organizing teams of several people. The flexibility in organizing teams, and projects, as well as the ability to track the project from ...

Great project management...even if it's a bit much.

What do you like best? Professionally, I like being able to keep track of all the tasks and responsibilities of me and my team members. Personally, I like the sense of accomplishment when i see a bunch of completed cards at the end of a Sprint. What do you dislike? Our version is highly customized and has way too many options that i never view or use. It's visually a bunch of clutter down the left hand menu with largely unnecessary choices. Also, the siloing of teams and members ...

Simple to get started, flexible enough to grow

What do you like best? Very easy to get a new team going and then introduce new views to see new metrics to improve. What do you dislike? Nothing that isn't on the roadmap. However creating some of the boards will not let you drill all the way down from project to tasks. Some of the calculations may not seem consistent across the views. Hard to get a clear view of the work contributing to the burn down in a chart Recommendations to others considering the product There are some ...

Pros and Cons of TP

What do you like best? I like the timelines and the views available in Tp to analyse the data. The way I could choose and share my view is amazing. What do you dislike? I don't like the filter options. They are very difficult to apply and understand What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I am using Tp to log the bugs, and the stories which need to developed.

Great but not perfect.

What do you like best? I like the fact that it is easy to keep track of tasks, they have good support, and that it is very flexible. What do you dislike? I dislike that every time you drag a card that the columns readjust and you end up dropping the card into a column or row that you weren't intending to. That there is a steep learning curve to setting up different views. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Target process helps ...

A valuable asset to a team work environment

What do you like best? I like the ticket card window the best, as it allows me to view all my work as a whole so I can manage time appropriately. Additionally I like that you can move the tickets to various states since that helps to keep track of where you are in the projects final goal. What do you dislike? I dislike that the tickets don't show a due date from the ticket window page. It would also be nice if they had an indicator that a new comment had been posted. That would make ...

Targetprocess is an affordable and reasonably functional tool

What do you like best? I like how easy and intuitive the swim lane GUI is. It's easy to teach new hires, and does not over complicate simple tasks. The ability for the admin to mandate a certain flow is also helpful, to keep the processes and procedures in place. What do you dislike? As a QA Lead, I think the testing and defect entering process could be streamlined a bit, or just made easier to handle. There are a few points where the GUI is not great (the bullet point menu for ...

Review

What do you like best? The flexibility with most of the platform to define your own process and workflows. I really like the ability to tie into the API easily and create my own custom services that provides messaging and reporting to our team. What do you dislike? The main thing I dont like at this point is that at the task level you can only estimate by hours and not points. This is a real thorn in the side for doing agile and getting accurate burn down velocity for our team. As ...
