Best CMS ever

What do you like best? Easy to use, 100% customizable, you have the hand on ANY HTML output and it's based on the MVC design pattern, so it's clearly OOP, with easy autocompleting. ".ss" extension is probably one of the best I've used as well. I've made modules probly more easily than on any other CMS (beside Drupal 8). When it comes to explain to my clients how to administrate their websites, they rarely come back to me after that. Upgrading is quite easy as well. The administration is ...

A simplified CMS

What do you like best? I liked how straightforward the UI was of this CMS. It was refreshing coming from Wordpress where its so overcomplicated. I felt like I only saw what I needed to and didn't have too many features available that I'd never touch. Navigating through the CMS was easy as well. User-friendly all around. What do you dislike? As an Account Manager, I had to work more with my development team for any serious changes. In other CMS's I've used I could customize things a ...

Easiest CMS to use

What do you like best? The CMS is both easy to use for content managers and developers to work in. The sitetree is a feature of the CMS that many others do not have and make it very easy and understandable for managers to visualize their site. What do you dislike? Not a lot of pre-built themes or templates available like for other CMS's like Wordpress. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Ability for amateur computer users to be able ...

SilverStripe review

What do you like best? Highly customizable and extensible CMS unlike many of the blog like CMSs like WordPress out there. Comes with a framework and CMS. CMS interface is quite intuitive. Site can be customized to perform any feature imaginable. PHP based. What do you dislike? Does have a high learning curve but worth it once it's learned. Recommendations to others considering the product: Highly customizable and extensible CMS with intuitive editing interface. Has a slightly ...

Great for digital editors!

What do you like best? Very easy to use and intuitive. Making edits to the website is a breeze and it's very interactive with the website's functionalities. I like that I can log into the website, find the page and then simply click edit in CMS to make changes to that page. Can also be paired with sister sites and it easily and accurately connects related content. What do you dislike? Some functions, such as incorporating photos, require multiple steps that could better pared down. ...

Straightforward and Simplifies

What do you like best? I like how simplified the UI was. You really only had access to exactly what you needed. Unlike WordPress where you have unlimited options that you never touch. What do you dislike? Not as customizable. Sometimes I wanted to make some edits on appearance and was unable to. You have to push everything to your development team. Recommendations to others considering the product: Look at the current CMS you are using and really think about what features you ...

Great CMS for a website. Hard to disappoint.

What do you like best? The best thing about SilverStripe CMS apart from all the excellent features it offers is the fact that it is open sourced and can be modified throughly. Moreover, the flexibility it provides over Wordpress is great. What do you dislike? It can be intimidating for beginners, but there a ton of resources to help you. Also, a small user base as compared to other CMS like Wordpress. Recommendations to others considering the product: Learn from online tutorials ...

Scaling the team

What do you like best? We needed a cloud based solution that would work for our developers and sales teams. The slick UI combined with the customizations complemented the demands of our cross functional teams. What do you dislike? Importing our client specific css rules required some reformatting (rules) -- but with a little effort it worked just as well. Recommendations to others considering the product: Start with the basic features -- stay for the custom. What problems are ...
