I've been trying to unsubscribe several times. They just keep on charging me! So frustrating.

TOTAL SCAM

TOTAL SCAM! Did the free trial as there was one specific document I was looking for and all paths/links lead to scribd. After entering cc info. for my trial, the links still went in circles and I never got to read the ONE document I was looking for. I immediately cancelled, about an hour after the free 30 day trial sign up. THEY KEPT CHARGING ME AND DIDN'T LET ME KNOW. Elvenar forcing customers to accept ads but what are they really doing, gathering data ?

So following the blocking of my paid account that is paid each and every month, they unblocked my account on it's pay date, no credit for the days I was blocked and now Elvenar are blocking paying customers from reading and listening to their books because customers are either using vpn's or ad blockers when listening to an audio book. Scribd/Elvenar are you so desperate that you want to loose customers ? put all the ads you like on your main screen but who wants to listen to ads when ...

Like most people surprised at being charged (today) - I've never used the service my reading history is blank. So I've cancelled on the scribd website, and also then logged into my payment service (paypal) to cancel future payments. I've also emailed scribd asking them to reverse the payment. Now checking here I see others have been charged even after cancelling, which was not my initial concern. Bad customer service

I never write reviews but this company has terrible customer service. It took so long to resolve my issues with cancelling that I kept getting charged!

asked to return my money immediately. You did not notify me in advance of the next payment fee via email but automatically deducted money from my card. This is a scam. I demand a refund or else I will urge everyone to boycott your service through tiktok and facebook. I want to emphasize that I have not used your services since I was charged and I am eligible for a refund according to your policy. my code is #5213883

They have refunded me! Thanks to Scribd for dealing so promptly. Have updated to 4 stars for this Received reply from Scribd saying they will investigate my complaint and won’t charge me anymore. Have updated to two stars for this. However they shouldn’t have charged me in the first place. Will let you know if they actually do anything else.
