There isn't a 0 so I give it a 1. Despite the fact that I tried in several occasions to cancel this subscription that I've barely used 3 times in one week in 2021...they still robbing me on the 3rd year now. Been cancelled their subscription with barclays, as none are answering but a month later they still taking money out as they got my details. No replies whatsoever, proper scammers. I will contact ombudsman.

They require a card to start a trial
Horrible, immoral practice to try out a mind-numbingly simple service. To the person from Scribd who felt like being condescending and patronising when replying to this review: yes, I understand how your trial works. I still find it to be an immoral, horrible practice, preying on people's forgetfulness instead of offering actual value. It's only done by companies who are so insecure in their offerings, that they need the feel to cheat their users into giving you their payment details. ...

Never signed up but their name showed up on my credit card.
2 seperate lines of charge showed up with their name on my credit card with $0. We don't have any accounts with them so no reason for any of it. How they got my credit card details is beyond me. But looking at all the reviews here, sounds like it's a dodgy company that makes it impossible to unsubscribe and deals with other shady business practices. I will wait for a couple of days to make sure the charges are gone otherwise might have to do a chargeback on credit card.

Checked trust pilot after Sub request, Thanks!
Just been looking for a document I need. Would be happy to pay a few quid for it but AFTER you create an account, it says you need to add payment details for a free 30 day sub (I was stung by one of these 'cancel anytime' sub things 20 years ago). Looks like things haven't changed. If you are stuck in one of these, phone your bank and say you lost your card, you'll get a new card number so payments won't go through. Really, with today's GDPR rules they shouldn't be retaing your details ...

Poor service
Poor service. Cannot unsubscribe. Was confirmed via email that had a cancellation of the account, but the money was withdrawn. And not refunded. Annoyed af, not going to purchase this service again

I wish you could give no stars. WITHOUT PREJUDICE Scribd took my money despite a "cancelled subscription" when I logged in, knowing money had been paid monthly. Sent an enquiry and was told I had a duplicate subscription and was trying to log into the cancelled subscription. Email given for duplicate subscription didn't even exist.
