"Great tool for learning a language"

What do you like best about Rosetta Stone? It helps you learn in a more natural way than from a textbook. You don’t learn to think about which tense you should be speaking in but rather learn the difference in tenses in a conversational way. What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone? The verbal portion is hard to do with a computer instead of a real person with real feedback. What problems is Rosetta Stone solving and how is that benefiting you? We are able to communicate with our Spanish ...

"Great learning tool on the expensive side"

What do you like best about Rosetta Stone? Comprehensive lessons with enough repetitions to cement concepts for many available languages. The Rosetta Stone app works great on IPad and iPhone as well, better than even the web app. The no translation, image to word association strategy worked well for me. What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone? Sometimes the repetitions make learning a tad bit too slow - can turn tedious and time-consuming. The price for the subscription is on the higher ...

"An excellent product that uses immersive learning techniques and A.I. to evaluate learning."

What do you like best about Rosetta Stone? I like the lack of word-for-word translation but, rather, pictures and intuition to learn. Using the microphone ensures that the word is being pronounced properly. What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone? I find that it can be repetitive and something is missing to keep me engaged long enough to get deeper into the course. What problems is Rosetta Stone solving and how is that benefiting you? I have an increasing number of Latino students and I ...

"High end, but a bit pricey language learning software"

What do you like best about Rosetta Stone? As advertised, Rosetta Stone software creates an immersive language experience that uses methods through which you acquire your native tongue as a child. These include interactive lessons with speaking, listening, reading, and writing. In particular, the software relies on images/pictures and associative vocabulary to drill new vocabulary into the mind of the user. What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone? Aside from the high cost, which is a bit ...

"Beginner / user"

What do you like best about Rosetta Stone? My favorite part of this program is the convenience of it. I can use it any where and with any one. What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone? My only issue / dislike is that the software is kind of pricey. Recommendations to others considering Rosetta Stone: I do not have any recommendations at the moment as i feel it works well. What problems is Rosetta Stone solving and how is that benefiting you? No business problems as I haven't used it for ...

"Not a substitute for a course."

What do you like best about Rosetta Stone? Easy, can go at own pace. Modules build on prior lessons. What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone? Limited grammar, little sense of the rules of the language. Recommendations to others considering Rosetta Stone: More language structure lessons early on. What problems is Rosetta Stone solving and how is that benefiting you? Used it to learn Spanish before going to a sabbatical in Spain. Learned an assortment of words.

"Tried it for my homeschooler"

What do you like best about Rosetta Stone? I do like that there is a logical flow to learning the language. What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone? The software seems like it needs updating. There were discs to install in my computer. I had a hard time installing the software. What problems is Rosetta Stone solving and how is that benefiting you? I was trying to solve the problem of language learning without taking an actual class.

"Rosetta Stone comments"

What do you like best about Rosetta Stone? The course format was easy to follow, included multimedia elements, and was effective in teaching me some basic language skills. What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone? I just got a trial period (6 months) at a reduced rate. I didn't have as much time as I'd expected to have for the course, and then the trial period ended and I didn't want to pay the full price to extend it. What problems is Rosetta Stone solving and how is that benefiting ...

"Very Useful Language Tool with Few Drawbacks"

What do you like best about Rosetta Stone? Rosetta Stone makes learning a new language casual & accessible. It's great that most of the lessons are only 5 or 10 minutes long, making it possible for me to squeeze one or two in between calls and meetings. What do you dislike about Rosetta Stone? I really wish that there was a pretest for Rosetta Stone. Although I recognize that this is an extremely useful tool, I am kind of bored with it since I am going through a lot of stuff I have already ...
