My Upgrade
What do you like best? I've used QuarkXpress for many years. Stuck in the past with QuarkXpress 7.31. I was experiencing some problems with my computer and once the bugs were fixed, I decided to upgrade to QuarkXpress 2020 and take advantage of the 25% discount offered. It's been a bit of a learning curve but I'm starting to feel very comfortable with the new look and features. What do you dislike? I haven't found anything that I dislike. What problems are you solving with the ...

Consistently the Best DeskTop Publishing Software
What do you like best? Quark continually adds features that help make it a solid performer. The ability to integrate all elements of graphic design, web design, and other creative mediums, make QuarkXpress a consistent leader and performer. What do you dislike? I can't think of many aspects of QuarkXpress that I do not like. Recommendations to others considering the product: QuarkXpress can do a great deal, for a lot of different kinds of design needs. Take your time to learn ...

Excellent Software - Easier than Adobe
What do you like best? I am not an expert on Quark or Adobe In-Design, however, having used QuarkXPress, it took less than an hour to understand the software and start producing professional documents for work. Well done Quark! What do you dislike? No ability for Quark to automatically find replacement fonts. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Producing professional tender bid documents, which simply cannot be produced using MS Word.

Quark Spoiled Me since 1993
What do you like best? Quark has provided a steady stream of enhancements ever since I started using it—back when it was the only serious layout and design software available. What do you dislike? The downside for me is the upside for others. It has too many features and options I don't use. Used to be I'd get the new Quark upgrade, do the new tutorial, and I'd be fluid within three days. Now I just read about the new features, and if it's something I'd use, I simply find and learn ...

Good but crashes alot
What do you like best? ease of page layout / pitch deck development / What do you dislike? every time I cut and paste -- it crashes.. I bought the new version because my old version was doing this.. and the new version does it as well.. not "every" time.. but just about every time.. and so I'm constantly saving and saving.. and just when I don't -- everything crashes.. and I lose everything. And also -- when it does work.. it changes the color of the type and font of the copy that was ...

Where did I go wrong? And how have I gone from Quark Master to InDesign Enthusiast.
What do you like best? Some of the old Quickkeys are still the same. What do you dislike? The fact that Quark doesn't seem to be a great deal to do with knocking a bit of print out these days. There is so much stuff that really doesn't interest me and that i'll never need to use but I've got to get past all the stuff for that kind of thing before i can just get on with a print job. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you're young and Quark is your first time ...

I had to buy Quark 2020 as I changed from Word 7 to Word 2020
What do you like best? I have used Quark 4 for some 15 years or more , I was used to it and I could fly with it. It was a fairly simple programme that I could use to display my graphics and transform my architectural drawings into digital form. In February 2020 I had to upgrade to Microsoft 2020 which was awful. A considerable portion of my hardware, printers, scanners etc were no longer supported by Microsoft, so I not only had the annoyance of renewing a great deal of my hardware but ...

Too much energy for novelties instead of troubleshooting
What do you like best? Important plus points: no ABO, constant further development. What do you dislike? i still like to work with QuarkXpress, but i am annoyed that besides many new features and improvements, existing bugs or inconsistencies are not fixed. For example, the tool menu still has no logical TAB order since the new programming. Or the composition zones over several projects have no functioning color management for media-neutral images. I am shocked by the startup ...

QuarkXpress - user since 1992!
What do you like best? The ease of designing, and the precision provided. What do you dislike? Little - but I get stuck with changuing print to digital editions. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you want the Rolls-Royce of DTP, get QXP What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It’s a great tool for initially designing a publication and then creating an online flipbook through Flipbook Creator.
