I still use it yes I do!!!!!!!

What do you like best? Quark has good support. I bought into the advantage plan and they are there for you when you need it, and they are qualified. I started out with QX, and I work alone with no need to share files, and they have always upgraded with the trends, so why switch. What do you dislike? That it is not as mainstream as InDesign. it is a definite requirement to know InDesign if I want to obtain new freelance clients but I have no need to. Recommendations to others ...

Simply the best

What do you like best? How it handles type, flows far better than its competitors What do you dislike? I've used Quark Xpress since 1991, I can't find any faults with it as its done everything i've expected it to do. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? The layers option was a real game changer, colour sampling too, and lately, being able to create page sizes 3000 mm

This version of QuarkXPress is outstanding.

What do you like best? I use QuarkXPress 2020. It is smooth, I like the type controls. What do you dislike? So far there is nothing that I dislike. The only thing for me is the send & bring menu. Recommendations to others considering the product: I like that I own the ssoftware. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I do double pages and then combine then into a catalog. Makes my life simpler.

My Essential Design and Layout Tool I Use Every Day

What do you like best? I've been using Quark Xpress for over 20 years, since before its major competitors existed. It does everything I need it to do, has rich features for implementing and adding non-destructive filters to images, saving me a step of going to a photo editing tool. It can export web an email-ready images and PDFs which are perfect for offset printing. I keep discovering advanced features in it (even after all these years) that help with my workflow. I can't imagine doing ...

Long-time user of Quarkxpress

What do you like best? Quarkxpress is the best tool for page layout. Whether it's a large magazine or a single page ad, I'll use Quark over Indesign. I've used both but prefer the speed and functionality of Quark. What do you dislike? I think the gradient tool should be tweaked a bit so there are fewer steps to create and alter the colours. It works well as is but think reducing the number of steps to make the selections I need would be helpful. Recommendations to others ...

Ease of use with great features

What do you like best? Design and layout to is so easy for magazines, brochures etc, anything that is going to print. What do you dislike? Fantastic new features but no detailed videos or instructions on how to use these in particular Flex Layouts and Web pages. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Creating brochures or magazines a lot quicker and easier than InDesign.

Quarkxpress software clean and un bloated software. Great tool and intuitive interface.

What do you like best? Clean and un bloated software. Great tool and intuitive interface. Not heavy on memory or cpu. Easy and quick responsive interface when constructing designs and page make up. also having font management build in is a big plus. Import of inDesign files is excellent especially if you have stopped using (paying perpetual licence) inDesign and are locked out of your design files What do you dislike? import and linking of spreadsheets /data files into tables could ...

QuarkXPress makes my life so much easier

What do you like best? Of all the design and layout programs I've used, QXP has been the most intuitive. When I first started using the program, I picked up basic steps right away (and I'm a slow learner when it comes to technology). Over the years the program has only improved (but remained easy to learn). What do you dislike? If I had to name one thing I dislike, I would say ... not being able to email a QXP document. (Many people don't have the program, and the files generally ...

Long time self taught Quark Xpress user

What do you like best? I find that the features I use the most are easy to utilize. What do you dislike? The only downside for me is I know there are a large number of things that I could probably do with the program if I was more adept at it. It it's something I do every day I'm quite good at it. But there are things that I know are possible with the program that I don't know enough about to be able to utilize them. But that's on me, not the program itself. Recommendations to ...

An amazing update!

What do you like best? I like the speed in which the app launches on my MacBook, redraws my large files quickly and allows be to get in and edit or alter simple or complex pages. What do you dislike? The learning curve... for newbies, there is a learning curve... even for the seasoned Quark user, there are a lot of functionality and features that you may never truly uncover. Recommendations to others considering the product: Take the time to look into all the wonderful ...
