Very good experience.

I'm really surprised by the negative reviews here. I have had the free account and the Mail Plus account for a total of about eight or nine years. I originally got it as a psychologist who has needs for secure email. I've recommended this to other psychologists who are not very tech savvy, but they found it easy to use. I've had occasional problems with payment and with access, but contrary to other reports here, tech support was very responsive and got the problem resolved quickly. My ...

Worst company ever!

They charge loads of money and even several years after they first launched their apps, the mail app doesn't even install on a completely standard win11 system (!!??!!) and the drive app is completely useless due to the countless bugs that make it impossible to sync any files or folders. It's a complete fraud!!

Blocked access

I'm very disapointed. It's been 2 days I'm trying to access my email box without success. I do receive an error and cannot use my email box. You cannot block the access with no reason or prior advise if anything is needed. Request number: 3283380 Update: problem solved by Proton tech support.

No Discounts For Loyal Users

They only provide discounts to new users. Loyal, long-term clients aren't eligible for anything.

Great Experience

I have been using Proton Mail for six months, and the experience has been amazing. It's super secure and ideal for managing multiple accounts. With the Proton Unlimited plan, I can set up several email addresses, which helps keep different parts of my life sorted. While managing a bunch of emails can feel chaotic, the folder and label system makes it a breeze to sort and find messages. I also love its end-to-end encryption and zero-access encryption, so I know that every email I send is ...

My ProtonMail account was deactivated…

My ProtonMail account was deactivated after I was inactive for 1–2 years. Now they’re asking me for information I don’t know in order to reactivate it. All I remember is my username and password, but I still can’t log in. I no longer have access to my email because I can’t answer all the questions they’re asking. Stay away from this company! Now I have to go through the hassle of transferring all my logins to another email provider. Switzerland BS company

Very easy to setup and decently secure…

Very easy to setup and decently secure by default, the fact that it is free and isn't gmail is also a huge bonus, I would like to see some post-quantum encryption from Proton though since they claim to be Swiss scientists.

Data collection & cash grab disguised as "privacy"-centric company

Let's go over my experience from the very start... 1. Open an account for your first time 2. Use the account 3. Immediate "Abuse Detection" email telling you that you used your account "too quickly". 4. Resolution? Upgrading to their paid plan by giving them your card details, OR giving them your phone number, OR another email of yours. Proton describes themselves as a PRIVACY focused service. If you missed the irony in this message, read step 4 again. The immediate attempt to have you ...

Proton mail is hands down the best mail…

Proton mail is hands down the best mail service provider I have used. I have previously tried, in vain, to organise my inbox with the likes of Google, ( who help themselves to your personal data). And outlook (Which comes with a plethora of technical issue). Proton, allows you to sign up with different types of service e.g. bank, personal and subscription with different address and automatically send them to a corresponding folder. I have leveled up my organisation game already and I ...
