I conducted a survey that takes 6 minutes on average, with one attention check. But I am so regretful now; I wasted my money and time. Survey participants, whose hourly wage was set at $ 7.29, reached 10.22 by the end of the survey, unexpectedly. 200 of the first 800 persons could not get through this single attention check. Surveys come with 1 place remaining

Countless times studies appeared with 1 one place remaining and I have never had chance to get any of them. Seems they are pre-designated. It is as if these are open to individuals know by researcher. I noticed that the surveys that come with 1 place remaining are high paying surveys. I am rarely able to take surveys these days.

PLEASE HELP CUSTOMER SUPPORT

PLEASE HELP! I can no longer login to my prolific account and have tried the reset password several times with no success. To make things worse I hit the "do not contact me" tab by accident but unfortunately was not able to find a customer service link. This is one of the BEST survey sites and was looking forward to my first withdraw and participating in more studies! PLEASE let me know if anyone knows an email I can contact their customer support.

Losing valuable members

To put things into context, I have two masters degrees from Oxford and have more research experience than the founders combined, so I can appreciate as well as anyone the need for high quality respondents and thus the need for systems to ensure the standard remains high. Long-time member banned without a reason

I have been a member of prolific for 4 years, have completed thousands of studies, and never had a study rejected. I was banned and refused a reason or chance to explain whatever went wrong. It is not fair that they treat their long-standing and dedicated participants this way. Terrible experience

I’ve had in truth an awful experience with prolific. I signed up for an account with them around a month ago and spent around 2 hours filing my personal information to create an account. I was thoughtful and honest in the responses to the priliminary surveys. The following day I logged into the account to see that I had been placed “on hold”, I put it up to delays. The best survey resource out there!

I have tried a numerous variety of survey websites for quick cash on the side, however I can honestly say that Prolific Academic is by far the best resource I have used to this date. I started at the beginning of July of 2019 and so far I have had 200 submissions and have received over $180 USD (and that’s not counting the £17 in my current pending balance hehe). For an Internet company to be so poor…

For an Internet company to be so poor at providing a descent and consistent service is one thing... But for Prolific to blatantly not warn their customers that after accepting a survey and completing that survey, they have no one around to verify that survey! Only posting a dissapointing notice that can take about 2 weeks!!! I would personally prefer to know in advance how shoddy your verification process is, not find out AFTER putting in my time and effort! AVOID!
