Worth it if your time isn't worth too much

Refused me to withdraw GBP to my GBP PayPal (so I could send it to my UK bank account) because I don't currently reside in the UK. Had to pay a bunch of withdrawal fees to get my money to my GBP account. Not happy with losing some 20% of my payout in fees, but I guess it's worth it if your time is worth cents on the dollar. Probably not worth it for most people but they do pay you albeit with kind of bad terms.

Banned without explanation

I have been on Prolific for over two years, and last week, I was randomly banned for no reason. I was also not given an explanation and the decision could not be reversed. After looking online, I have found many others who had a similar experience. Avoid this website.

Good for me, but silently ban people with no reasons given.

Hmm I've had a good experience to be fair but they banned my friend, no warning or reason given. Just a silent ban and when asked why they tell them nothing and that they will no longer communicate with him. Known him for years, never done anything wrong in his life so I know 100% that he won't have done anything "wrong" on prolific. Makes me worry after my 1000+ submissions that I may now get a random ban for doing nothing. Still awaiting on hearing back about the freedom of information ...

Surprised to see so many negative…

Surprised to see so many negative reviews. I've used Prolific since about 2015 and they are great compared to other similar websites Had a couple issues where my account had been frozen due to completing surveys abroad and unknowingly using VPNs, etc. Seemed a bit dramatic to freeze my account for this, but once I had contacted them they have sorted these out, so no complaints!

My experience with prolific is good so far. The only thing that is not good that sometimes with the profilic assistant extension it displays a survey and i click immediately but then it shows 0 spots left. That should get fixed but overall its good.

I was very happy with prolific at the beginning but now I got shadow banned ( PEC-SUB-0002) and prolific support just doesn't care. It's just annoying that I can no longer do any studies when I haven't done anything wrong.

230 Submissions & 4 years = silent ban.

230 Submissions & 4 years service mean nothing to the Prolific team. I got a silent ban a few months ago and they tell me in a scripted reply when I question why no surveys had popped up for a while. If I was hacking the website or something sure go ahead and ban me but no I am a loyal user, I held my hands up and said I had some issues where I accidentally connected to the site with my VPN switched on. Banning for no reason after a few months

It was a good site for some time, to get pocket money, although some of the studies were really annoying/tiring or not even working at all. After around 5 months of doing it, I stopped getting studies at all, no info from Prolific. After messaging the support, I got information that my account got suspended - for what? I joined Prolific last year and have enjoyed doing their surveys. I had an email today saying I could cash out so I applied and it was in my PayPal within an hour! I think that's brilliant

Prolific wasted two days of my life

Prolific wasted two days of my life. I spent hours answering questions, setting up my account, and verifying who I am. Only when I'm finally finished and think I'm ready to get started, prolific tells me that they had to reject me and I'm not allowed access to the website. WTH? I was not told why and after looking over the list of reasons they give for account termination I still have no clue what was wrong with me. I'm extremely pissed that they wasted my time and got my hopes up.
