Prolific Reviews in May 2025: User Ratings, Pros & Cons

It's been fantastic for the first 5 weeks. But suddenly stopped sending studies. I understand with the summer holidays. But now they're back, where's my studies?

What a racist company. Racist fools. Disgusting organisation. Also no shock that your organisation has no black people in it but have a base in London. You’re a disgrace.

Problems with their IT

Have been using for a couple of years and now have been told that there is a problem with my IP address and I can't participate. There is no reason that my IP should cause a problem, Prolific needs to investigate this.

Don't even bother

Recently made an account, spent a very long time filling in the about me, my girlfriend uses these guys all the time. My account was fully verified, ID accepted etc. 2 weeks go by, not a single survey, contacted these cowboys to find out my account had been "banned" because of some automatic checks, was never told about any of this, receiving a typical copy and paste corporate letter that explains nothing, just simply decision is final, don't make another account and so on, you've heard ...

Banned Suddenly Without Cause

I have an account on Prolific and things seemed to be going well until I suddenly stopped getting any surveys. After two weeks of wondering why, I wrote them and they said that my account was flagged and I was banned. They said that there was nothing I could do about it,so don't even try to complain. I had literally done nothing and got fired.

A Fine Platform With Interesting Studies

I really like Prolific. I signed up to it alongside another survey site in March 2020 and have been using them both ever since, while other survey and study sites have fallen away or revealed themselves to be problematic. I've really enjoyed contributing to research and earning a little money in the process. AVOID!

Terrible. They removed my access and won't tell me why and won't restore it! All my info is right and they are using a vague reason to get rid of legitimate people!! This is to someone who answered honestly every time. Now I get removed for being legitimate? I am disabled as don't have money, and used the money I got, for food! One of the best survey sites out there

One of the best survey sites out there. And the best part is these surveys are actually interesting. You don't even realise the time spent. I actually get excited when a new survey pops up. I have had no problems with the customer service or payouts.

Horrible support, find elsewhere.

Was a good site for the years I used it, then out of no where I could no longer take any studies on my internet service provider. Support told me they "can't be sure that the internet connection you're using isn't a VPN or public network which can be used to disguise users' locations bringing into question the accuracy of the data researchers receive."
