Paid $91.50 per check!
In 2020 I ran 14 payroll checks with Paychex. The cost? At stunning $91.50 per check. The cost includes a year end final tax report/W2's. I got in touch with Paychex I was given a $300. refund.I've been with Paychex 20 years with a number of businesses and employees. The company has changed. . I LOVED Paychex. Easy, easy, easy. Now I'll probably use Quickbooks.Update: Discontinued the service. My 2020 end of year tax report was $300. which was 2X what I paid in 2019.

12 Employees, Constant problems, Blown OFF - Hire someone just to wait on hold!!
Our company has 12 employees and week after week after major problems. I spend 6 + hours a week on hold sometimes up to 3 hours on the phone a day just to fix payroll issues. Pay rates are wrong or over payed, under payed employees, or employees just not paid at all. We were passed around through specialist leaving multiple messages and sent mail for no one to respond. AJ a supervisor spoke to me once and didnt follow through with anything he said. I got through to a receptionist several ...

Long time client leaving - ZERO Customer Service!
I started with Paychex about 15 years ago - back when they actually had customer service and I was happy for a long time. Unfortunately, in the past few years their customer service has become non-existent, and their retirement services are even worse. It is virtually impossible to get a customer service rep to pick up a phone or return a call in a timely manner. The Retirement Services department will not allow anyone from their compliance department to even be contacted. Save yourself the ...

They don't care
What started as a small typing error has lead to the loss of two employee paychecks. This company used an incorrect checking account number TWICE and refuses to submit a letter of indemnity to the employees bank. It has been more than a month since the mistake and Paychex has taken no action. The final straw happened five minutes before this review when the customer service hung up on us after we asked to speak to management.

Good for Payroll- Customer Service is a tossup
What do you like best? I really enjoy being able to edit my payroll once I have uploaded my time file. I can add benefit recoupments and other things as needed.I also like how easy it is to add a manual check if we process something in the office or off cycle. When we have to add local taxes for Ohio or other states with specific localities, it is very easy to do so. The employees are absolutely able to manage their own data, which is very helpful since our organization is growing and ...

Great Payroll software for small businesses
What do you like best? As a user, I was able to quickly access my pay stubs and w-2 forms, setting up direct deposit was a breeze, overall it as very easy to navigate. I liked the employee dashboard, I was easily able to see how much was being taken out of each paycheck. What do you dislike? A couple of times when I tried to login I had issues because they were doing an upgrade, also my company has since switched to ADP which I prefer to Paychex Flex, I am able to easily request ...

Company satisfaction
What do you like best? Very user friendly and easy to use. Do not have to buy multiple programs to have Paychex work properly. What do you dislike? I liked the old graph once it transferred from the payroll upload. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I just us the time & attendance / payroll.

Works for us
What do you like best? We use Paychex Flex for our 401k only. We used it for payroll in the past but found another alternative for our payroll needs. The 401k inputting is pretty straight forward, enter each persons deduction from payroll and they deduct the amounts accordingly. What do you dislike? I find it redundant to enter all the employees information from payroll when they do not participate in the 401K program and if you forget to add an employee and go back, you have to ...

Simple and easy to navigate
What do you like best? It has a very clean interface. It is easy to find pay stubs per month, year etc. I really find it helpful that I can login and gather all the documents and download them. You can save as PDF or print. Whichever works for you! What do you dislike? I don’t have many complaints. I personally don’t use the graphs they provide, but it definitely is nice to have a visual representation. Recommendations to others considering the product: I would ...
