Essbase continues to improve.
What do you like best? What is best about essbase is it’s seemless integration with Excel. Most users are financial professionals who are already familiar with building reports in excel and want a fast data retrieval. Essbase offers users the speed and ease of use they expect. Essbase is a very quick method for consuming data in an accountant-friendly format
What do you like best? The ability to select metadata that is relevant to me. I also like multiple connections on the same Smart View sheet What do you dislike? For some users, it is difficult to navigate through the metadata to get to relevant intersections What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? What do you like best? for corporate planning it is a great tool and has very good flexibility to design the process. What do you dislike? Opening service requests can be a very frustrating process and take a long time to solve problems. What problems are you solving with the product? What do you like best? Tried and tested; well known and used by peers and good availability of contract resources in the market for additional developments. What do you dislike? Hard to answer - does what it is supposed to. Have nothing to compare to. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It is very good cube technology. Hae been using it for years ASO only. BSO is slow.
What do you like best? You can add all the dimensions that are needed. It is quite flexible and has rich set of attributes. The technology is quite mature. What do you dislike? ASO aggregate view may take a lokng time to re-build. ASO build may cause conflicts with data loads. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Financial Planning and profitability and cost managment.

What do you like best? i liked that all on prem essbase functionality has been retained in the cloud addition to that dashboard building functionality has been really helpful. What do you dislike? data movement from on prem to cloud is not totally that intutive. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? no problems.

Give it a shot....
What do you like best? Having a cohesive platform that takes advantage of our existing Oracle products has been a huge benefit. We do not have to worry about translating or syncing of systems across different platforms. What do you dislike? None come to mind. There really is nothing that I can think of. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We have been able to analyze site traffic and utilization which has helped drive many new features.

Great for BSO but not so much for ASO
What do you like best? There are so many new features being rolled out for BSO in the new patches and we are excited to try them. What do you dislike? We do not like that latest patches break exisiting functionality for ASO What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use it for for our reporting which is used by out FP&A users
