What do you like best? I love how easy it is to use. The depth and flexibility is fantastic. The integration with Excel is also great and makes things easy and more integrated What do you dislike? A lot of the different languages make it hard to be profiecient in knowing all of the functions . Calc scripts, MDX and business rules are a lot to have to know and keep on top of. What do you like best? this was the required DB for hperion and it satisfied the requirements for the hyperion product we are currently using What do you dislike? I find it very difficult to navigate in essbase it is a relational database and i am not as familiar with it What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? none

What do you like best? There is potential to report on multiple subject areas and it is intuitive. What do you dislike? It is very distinct and difficult to use when different teams have different needs. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Making it more useful to everyone not just for specific team uses.

Essbase load rules SQL interface

What do you like best? I heard the load rules will not have the SQL interface in the future. I think it is a progress, because all that can be accomplished in the interface can be moved upstream to the SQL staging server with "views" or other features. What do you dislike? We really love Essbase and Planning ,The way it works is really easy .We have PBCS now and even that works as expected for ONLY planning apps.But for ESSABSE stand alone we really need some cloud cleart cut option What do you dislike? I love Essbase and willing to get version 19c

What do you like best? From Essbase I love its powerful calculation engine (aggregation, calc scripting, formulas, attributes, etc) and the flexibility to easily change hierarchies.
