Smooth Procure-to-pay process

What do you like best? The implementation of a new OpenText system was relatively painless. Also, there was a lot of updates to provide more efficient routing of documents. What do you dislike? The limitations on how many roles that a document can be routed to. Recommendations to others considering the product Make sure that you go through every possible exception to ensure that proper routing is ensured, also always have the option to send a document back to the processor for accounts ...

Next Generation Document Management System

What do you like best? Previously, we were using SharePoint for document management but have now upgraded to OpenText ECM. While SharePoint provided basic functionality, OpenText has enhanced our records management capability. The ability to customize workflow is vastly improved to match our complex processes. What do you dislike? OpenText is an expensive solution driven by the need for compliance standards. Recommendations to others considering the product For those who require strict ...

İf it's integrated well, it will pay-off. But God save you, if it is not.

What do you like best? Minimizing paper stuff, faster document loading, reduce the risks associated with human factor, time and financial saving, storing all documents in easy-accessible way. What do you dislike? Integration. Takes a hell of a time. And its hard to train people who works with it. Vignette CSM

What do you like best? It was set up for us by Consultants approx 8 yrs ago. What do you dislike? it was relatively clunky to use and not very intuitive at the time. Add-ons were pricey so we weren't able to take advantage of all the bells and whistles we saw in training. Recommendations to others considering the product shop around to see if OpenText meets your needs What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? we moved to Adobe

Only standard enterprise-grade content management features at a very high premium cost

What do you like best? The UI/layout is a bit more usability-friendly as compared to other ECM products in the market, but the core features are pretty much run of the mill and not really distinct from the rest of the ECM/DCM players out there. What do you dislike? Their product support is very passive and slow to respond to customer queries and requests for extended support. Their SLAs for support tickets tend to lag for days before any significant feedback/analysis is provided. A lot ...

OT Content Server 10

What do you like best? The very best feature is the data ID on every item in the system, let you validate you are looking at the right item. Link won't break when altering the title, moving or updating the item. Workflow is the next coolest thing been using them for the last 20 years and they are extremely stable. What do you dislike? It's appearance out of the box and the fact regular content server doesn't have a calendar. Recommendations to others considering the product It's a very ...

An excellent product, but complicated to maintain

What do you like best? The document management software is really good, allowing us to set and manage document lifecycles. The project management module is also very helpful. Opentext tech support is very good. What do you dislike? Maintenance of the indexing servers and file servers is quite complicated. The ECM everywhere module requires lots of setup, and a simple upgrade is a very long process. Recommendations to others considering the product Use tech support to implement, take the ...
