My Shared hosting was suspended last…
My Shared hosting was suspended last year in July. I was receiving too much traffic according to support. I was in direct contact with support during this time. They recommended I upgrade to a dedicated server. I had stated that this surge in traffic was due to 1 page and it was temporary. They never told me I had to upgrade or gave me any warning that I would be suspended. I woke up around 5 am on the 4th of July with 2 emails stating my account had been suspended. I have been using NameCheap for several years, initially as a domain registrar and recently as a web hosting site. 4 days ago, I discovered I was unable to login to my account. Fortunately, I was able to file a support ticket without logging in. The problem remains unsolved after 4 days. They keep sending me a link to the support ticket so I can get the status. Excellent support who went beyond their scope often to help fix site issues. Live chat is a breeze to get. Namecheap is still the best
I have been namecheap's customer for the last 6 years after moving from Bluehost. Currently I have 4 domain mames and hosting accounts with Namecheap. I had also a reseller account with them.They are still providing first class services. I recently bought an SSL certificate from namecheap.com and I tried setting it up on my vps. For some reason it didnt work so I ended up contacting online customer support chat.Talked to 1 of them he didnt know what he was doing so passed me on to another guy. First they accept my $$ for domain …
First they accept my $$ for domain registration, then they suspend for "security reasons" (while keeping the $$ and no one responds to any inquiries. Cust serv says they can't do anything about it and the risk team is apparently all hiding somewhere in the Ukraine. No means to contact by phone.... just waiting.... waiting... waiting.Unless you have a LOT of time to waste, don't waste it here.
