Reliable and consistent, but innovation has slowed
What do you like best? We specifically chose MySQL because of it's consistency in query execution. For example, if a query takes 2 seconds to run in test, then it will be very close to 2 seconds in production. Other engines try to do lots of 'magic optimization' that can help, but also can hurt, and makes it very difficult to find "why this query is fast in test but slow in production" What do you dislike? What do you like best? Most important appereance of this product is that you may have a very stable and community supported database for free.
