Our preferred database for relational data

What do you like best? MySQL Workbench as and extremelly intuitive tool for database administration, modeling and database server configuration What do you dislike? Nothing in particular. MySQL meets the majority of our requeriments. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are currently using MySQL for the development of an internal Quality Assurance System for our University.

Good reliable database

What do you like best? Lightweight and easy to work with. Good set of connectors for different languages. It is very quick to install and start work with. Decent performance for what it takes to set it up. Ease of use has me reaching for it everytime. What do you dislike? Cannot handle scale like other bigger database out there. What do you like best? Quick SQL database implementation, open source. What do you dislike? Data corruption can happen if cheap drives are used. Recommendations to others considering the product: If you need larger scalability consider using PostGRES or Cockroach What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Cheap, low rent, open source database to drive most applications for the web.

Best RDBMS to start with

What do you like best? It's the best and one of the simplest RDBMS for a newbie to get started. I started learning this when I was early in school in my undergrad. To date, this remains my favorite. Easy to use

What do you like best? Useful to know since it's so popular and very easy to use. There are a lot of helpful tutorials provided to help you to learn. MySQL was taught to me in my college classes and I've used it ever since. It's also open source and free to use which is nice when working on projects.
