"A Comprehensive Email Security System with lots of Features.. maybe too many"

What do you like best about Mimecast Advanced Email Security? Mimecast has a vast array of features, configurations, and policies which means it can be tailored to match your exact business needs. We're able to load in multiple email domains under a single licence structure (we're a group of companies), and it's done a good job at protecting our organisation. What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security? Because the system is so vast it does take a lot of time and training to ...

"Mimecast is the Gatekeeer for All Company Email!"

What do you like best about Mimecast Advanced Email Security? Mimecast Content Control very helpfully allows users to dive into the spam folder and quickly release emails trapped in err, and also permanently permit them to avoid missed communications in the future. What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security? If you change your company laptop log-in credentials, then Mimecast requests that you synch passwords which takes a few minutes. Also, it is not always apparent how ...

"Lots of protection in a single pane of glass."

What do you like best? My favorite thing about Mimecast is the single-pane of glass interface. Our last product we had to jump to several different places to see and do things. Not with Mimecast. It also features a tabbed interface so you can switch back and forth from different areas without having to navigate back to somewhere you were previously. Mimecast offers quite a bit of granularity and covers several features our last product didn't. One that comes to mind is looking at domains, ...

"Strong tool for archival and email protection."

What do you like best? We use the archival research tool for litigation purposes on a regular basis and it is very easy to use. It works extremely well in protecting us from malicious software and links being sent from external customers. What do you dislike? Some of the policies for Spam blocking can be challenging and require tech support intervention. Recommendations to others considering the product: It is a great tool if it checks all the boxes. What problems are you solving with the ...

"Mimecast is a good product"

What do you like best? Mimecast Archive, email continuity and email search are very good products. Large file send and Email encryption are handy. What do you dislike? Mimecast white labels much of the security features. They are not great at catching phish emails or URL scanning leaves a bit to be desired. However, it's way better than most options on the market. Recommendations to others considering the product: I feel an onion/layered approach to security is best. So using a gateway ...

"Highly effective at preventing spam and other attacks."

What do you like best? Reduces amount of spam from hundreds of emails down to a few, with very few blocks on real emails. What do you dislike? Sometimes the replacement link in the emails has security implications from the original sender that cause it to fail at the sender if Mimecast intervenes. Recommendations to others considering the product: I highly recommend it. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Reduces time spent on unwanted emails. ...

"Great product that helps stop spam and impersonation attempts"

What do you like best? One of the best features of this product is, it cuts back on the number of spam emails users receive. Mimecast looks at all emails that come and if it finds ones that are spam or looks to be spam, Mimecast places it on hold. You can set it up so you get a report of what emails Mimecast thinks are spam. Rather than reactive the emails, you will get a report. From that report, you can release the email and view or ignore it because it's spam. What do you dislike? One of ...

"Good, With Caveats"

What do you like best? It catches all spam/junk, which is what it is supposed to do. What do you dislike? It also catches replies I am waiting for, especially if I initially emailed someone through Outreach. This leads to a nearly half day to a day delay in receiving responses. This can mean the difference between a sale and the customer going with someone else. In fairness, this could be more of an internal issue based on the security settings implemented by our IT department, but it looks ...
