The God of Diagramming!!

What do you like best? I like that there are several different diagramming types to choose from, and it can be integrated into other Microsoft Office tools, making everything much easier. Very professional output with amazing graphics. What do you dislike? Each version comes with better functions, but you have to pay for them separately, which can get costly. It's not for the casual user - without a working knowledge of vector software, it can be frustrating learning how to use it. ...

It is a great software to use for create workflows

What do you like best? the customization of the shapes is a great feature, allows me to create for each customer their own shapes to create the workflows. this give me a great option to give something specific for my costumers, What do you dislike? I do not like the connection (arrows) when I'm creating a workflows, it gets pretty messy. I'm as a person that use it a lot , can say that I can manage the connection between the shapes, but for a person that is new will always be ...

Good diagrams make my job a lot easier

What do you like best? Good documentation when you are getting into a new project makes your work a lot easier since you don't have to play detective to understand what are the components of a system and Visio makes a wonderful work by making easy to provide good diagrams to document the project. What do you dislike? I hope that in the near future there is a program to automate the most boring task in Visio. While virtually all of us appreciate a good network diagram to work with, ...

I hate using visio but I understand the need for it.

What do you like best? I love when everything is well documented, network diagrams, site locations, part numbers, models, etc.. and when dealing with network diagrams Visio is the industry standard, all technologies across organizations understand a well-made diagram, even if you are not technical should be at least understandable even if you don't know any specifics of how to work with any of the technologies. What do you dislike? I hate being the one creating the documentation or ...

Good program for flow and gantt charts

What do you like best? I'm really passionate about tidiness, organization, and control so naturally, I'm the one on my team tasked with creating the timeline, flowcharts, Gantt map and all other templates that are later used by my team and shared with other parts of the organization, Visio allows me to control the fine details like the aligning and put everything in separate layers so it can be easily filled without the need to touch the template unless it's really needed. What do you ...

Great tool for network diagrams

What do you like best? It is easy to work with after you take some quick tutorials and in case you need to do something new in the tool there is a lot of youtube videos and other resources to tell you how to use the tool exactly as you want. Once you create a template you can reuse it very easily by just creating a new layer and working on the new layer with the template in the below layer. Easy to update, I had to take care of old designs created 8 years ago and the tool was able to ...

Essencial tool for diagram desing

What do you like best? Whether you like it or not, it's just the standard for anything diagram related in an enterprise setting, even if the file was made 10+ years and never updated it's going to work anyway and as long as it's made according to clear rules it's going to be understandable for anyone that needs to read it. After you take some basic tutorials it's really easy to create/edit any diagram and super easy to export to PDF. What do you dislike? It is 2020 already and ...

Visio - Great Tool for Diagrams, Flow Charts and More

What do you like best? Visio is a great tool, it has allowed me to create numerous Flow Charts and diagrams for work and personal use. The ability to import images, create my own stencils, and just create has improved my work and documentation for my team tenfold. What do you dislike? Finding items that are buried two or three options deep is confusing, I'd like the ability to bookmark an item that I commonly use to a single area. Recommendations to others considering the product: ...
