Microsoft Project enables you to keep track of resources (e.g., time, labor, etc).

What do you like best? In one application, Microsoft Project allows you to keep track of resources (e.g., time, labor, etc.) as you complete your project. It does this through GANTT charts and other various means. You can see who is assigned to what tasks, how much time he/she has to complete the tasks, etc. on a single page. What do you dislike? Microsoft Project costs a business to use. There are other applications available in the market which are lower cost or free. Microsoft ...

Solid MS product

What do you like best? It will do just about everything you need it to. It's versatile and extensive. What do you dislike? It lacks some ease of access and seems to be a prototype for something better. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I'm using it to further my personal business and present info concisely.

Great for portfolio management

What do you like best? I love how simple it is to use! While intuitive to use, you can still manage and create so many different projects What do you dislike? Works for detailed project planning!

What do you like best? You can create a schedule that's as detailed as you want it, or as simple as you want it. Easily customizable. Can use templates, as well. It allows you to make sure that you do not miss any small tasks within even the largest projects. I like that there are so many different options and you can really make the tool your own. It's a great tool! What do you dislike? It is a little complicated to learn. If you make a mistake on certain things, it takes a long ...

MS Project can be improved upon greatly!

What do you like best? The automated formulas/columns which reflect % Complete, Work Breakdown Structure numbering/ordering, and Task dependencies/predecessors. These automated features speed up the development of a project schedule within Microsoft Project. I work in commercial, so the ability to export to PDF or Excel formats is a must, as a lot of my clients do not have the ability to view .MPP file formats. What do you dislike? The inability to save column widths, cell ...
