Honest trailer - Mendix

What do you like best? Integration with other web services, especially SOAP based, but also other RESTful services, is extremely streamlined. Data structures and web service calls are auto-generated, and sending of files via different protocols is supported without any extra effort. What do you dislike? The App Store is critical to meeting customer expectation, because it features hundreds of ready-to-use components. The problem is that some of the components are not-updated regularly ...

Great app development platform that minimises the gap between business and IT

What do you like best? I love the speed at which you can develop when using the Mendix platform. Because of the visual way of building logic in Mendix, it is very easy to collaborate with non-IT related roles from the business. This results in applications that really fit with the business and the future users of the application. What I also like is that back-end developement and styling go hand-in-hand when using the Mendix platform. Of course everyone has their own expertise, but ...

Mendix, a great solution for your company

What do you like best? Mendix provides a quick solution to build apps and let you preview your application from the start. It's a great way to show your progress to the client each time you make changes. What do you dislike? For some companies, the price is a big obstacle. But the one who makes the decision, quickly knows that it was all worth it. Also, the default design of the elements is workable, but a bit stale. To create amazing templates it requires some knowledge of HTML, ...

Solid rapid application platform

What do you like best? The speed of development in Mendix is incredible. Espcially startup of a project is done quickly. If you are using Mendix Cloud hosting, the CI is up-to-speed within minutes. What do you dislike? At the moment publishing of REST services is not a native functionality. Custom Java modules are required. Additionally, webservice versioning is not supported. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Development of ...

Solid platform for rapidly building business applications

What do you like best? Mendix takes a lot of the guesswork out of building business applications. They have a very solid framework for creating efficient databases, integrating with the databases and building various workflows (using microflows) to enable users to accomplish their goals. The app builder (Modeler) is very intuitive and makes it quite easy to visually prototype an app, gain agreement, then fully code the app. This process does not require a traditional, highly-skilled ...

Very satisfactory

What do you like best? Mendix platform allows me to create web applications very fast by aiming the focus on business rules rather than dealing with plumbing code. This is great when the requirements are not clear from the beginning and the final product is created iteratively. Mendix is great for fast prototyping, which could bring customer ideas into reality without the hassle of writing lots of code. What do you dislike? It is common for frameworks to impose certain ground rules to ...

Rapid Prototype Development

What do you like best? Mendix allows me to turn ideas into functional prototypes with amazing speed. It's a wonderful feeling being able to show business stakeholders functioning prototypes in hours rather than days, in days rather than weeks or months. Once the application is launched, ,and it comes to maintenance, the model based development makes everyone's "code" readable. You need more power - Java is just a few clicks away. Everything can be tweaked, if you take the time ...
