"most powerful modeling software I have ever used"

What do you like best about Maya? At the begining seems bit complex software, but after 1 month of use I have realized that I can model everything I want and I imagine, without mention the support grantes by all the scripts. This opened me a new world within design softwares. What do you dislike about Maya? Extrusion and offset surface tools end up in a bit dirty model with non manifold edges or surfaces crossing. If you desire a clean model you will have to place properly every vertex. ...

"The father of 3D Modeling Software "

What do you like best about Maya? It contains everything you need in terms of the modeling and animation of 3D scenes. Also MentalRay renderer, that is included in the package, provides realistic renderings by utilizing advanced options in the render panel such as Global Illumination, Final Gather, Ambient Occlusion, and many more. What do you dislike about Maya? This nothing like a real dislike, but in order to use Maya efficiently and to do what you have imagined needs quite a training. ...

"Great and powerful 3D software"

What do you like best about Maya? I love its modeling capabilities. I am able to use it as my main modeling program, even for projects I plan to complete in outside programs. It is able to handle extremely high-poly models, and has an extension modeling toolkit. The accessibility to the toolkit is also very nice, the hotbox makes it very easy to navigate to Maya's large number of available tools. What do you dislike about Maya? Maya can be very buggy, which can result in a variety of ...

"A good place to start"

What do you like best about Maya? I started learning Maya as a student when I first studied 3D. I think that Maya 2013 had a row of display options in the viewport windows which I found massively quick and useful. The right mouse click and hold to display all mesh select options was again very quick and useful which made modelling pretty straight forward as a new user. Also key frame animation was fairly basic to learn including the graph editor. The tools were layed out pretty tidy and ...

"Autodesk Maya is a powerful 3D modeling and VFX studio available for productions "

What do you like best about Maya? Maya gives you many features for creating realistic models that interact accurately with their environments. You can add fur and hair to your models that react to physical forces down to per-hair collisions. You can also create realistic cloth, liquid, and particle effects. easily integrate 3D effects into video footage and compose different scenes. What do you dislike about Maya? the 2d tools curves and surfaces need to improve . the UI nice but need ...

"Great modelling and rendering software"

What do you like best about Maya? I like the variety of modelling tools and how easy it is to merge surfaces. I find very useful the draw quad tool to clean up (trace) models created in other softwares and edge loop to generate creates. I also use Maya to generate animations and for rendering. What do you dislike about Maya? Considering I use Maya for architecture, I dislike the lack of control and precision compared to other softwares like Rhino. It is possible to model with dimensions but ...

"Maya is a complete 3D software solution "

What do you like best about Maya? Maya is not just 3D software but it also gives us a quality product on 2D graphics as well. Overall user experience of Maya software has really improved. What do you dislike about Maya? Sometimes out of nowhere, some of my objects turn black on the default render view mode. Recommendations to others considering Maya: Maya is a complete 3D software solution for modelling, animation, texturing, rendering and dynamics. Maya is used by film and video artists, ...
