Mavenlink the world of the unknown
What do you like best? It is customizable, and it has many features to be used. Continuously learning new functions. It's user friendly. the interface is nice and also customizable. They are also always looking to continuously improve, you can tell the system looks for ways to improve their system and welcomes feedback. What do you dislike? You seem to have to pay for real training on how to use the tool. Since its super complex you need to essentially build super users to ...

Clunky software that is less than intuitive
What do you like best? My personal time management is not as difficult as others, so it is relatively easy for me to enter my time. What do you dislike? Limited capacities for revenue and project management projections. Recommendations to others considering the product: Push back about mobile vs. desktop capability, because it is difficult to submit expenses on the desktop version, and there is no mobile version that I know of. What problems are you solving with the ...

Worth the learning curve
What do you like best? The most helpful part of Mavenlink is its ability to keep multiple, concurrent projects organized. When it comes to agency work I often have multiple projects going at once with several different sub-tasks all with different deadlines. Being able to nest tasks under milestone projects and group them together by the client has been a huge benefit to organizing my workload and staying on top of things. What do you dislike? The learning curve can be difficult at ...

Good Task Management tool for integration with Netsuite
What do you like best? The Netsuite integration makes time reporting on a task basis a whole lot easier - I actually don't mind doing time sheets anymore. What do you dislike? The incessant notifications about every single change that anyone makes on a project. There must be a way to filter out some of these darned email notifications, but it is not obvious. When you are on a project with 8 active contributors and several hundred tasks, it takes forever to plow through the ...

Functional but difficult and often painful to use
What do you like best? Mavenlink provides a comprehensive set of tools all in one place, reasonably well organized, with a consistent (if unattractive) design and user interface. What do you dislike? I find Mavenlink exceptionally difficult to work with. A lot of features are extraordinarily confusing. I've had the Planning tools explained to me more than once and still can't seem to get a solid understanding of what the various time-planning categories mean or how to get it to do ...

Good project management software
What do you like best? Using this entirely in the browser rather than having to install an app is great. I also really like how it integrates with email so I can quickly see snapshots of communication on the go. It's quick and AJAX based so that you don't have to reload the page to see changes. It also never logs me out even when I go idle for long periods of time which is unexpected and very convenient. What do you dislike? The activity feed can be clunky and cumbersome to ...

Underwhelming, I miss Asana
What do you like best? - integrated time tracking functionality - invoicing functionality our admin team appreciates - in theory, a capacity planning tool that helps with staffing and project scheduling What do you dislike? - very clunky tool that's slow and difficult to use. Finding tasks, having conversations and managing your task list has become a nightmare - in 6 months of using Mavenlink, I've seen one beta for a new feature. And that was for a feature that ...
