Libre selfhosted version is good

We use the free version bundled with gitlab. Great when old IRC generation meets young slack generation. Bugfixes are quick, Android app sucks, webapp rocks. Got laptop sticker when I met them at a fair.

What do you like best about Mattermost? Mattermost's plugins, custom emojis, and gifs. The markdown format for text messaging is great. What do you dislike about Mattermost? Profile setup takes time, and notifications get missed. It's glitchy. What problems is Mattermost solving and how is that benefiting you? Providing an easy alternative to slack.
