An indispensable tool for any search marketer

What do you like best? The fact that this is THE source for backlinks, it is the world’s largest link database after all. Everyone in the search industry has high views of this tool. From all the tools I've used so far for backlink acquisition, Majestic returned by far the highest number of backlinks. Also, it's Trust Flow and Citation Flow metrics are the best proxy for page authority I have seen in any of the search marketing tools I've used so far. What do you dislike? That it ...

Very thorough and helpful

What do you like best? The metrics produced by Majestic are very helpful when trying to sell new clients on our SEO services. TF and CF are standards in the industry and have replaced Moz's DA as the #1 go-to domain metric. The software is easy to use and is about as current as any other in this space. What do you dislike? Like any SEO software, there is always a concern that the information is up to date and reliable. I trust Majestic as much or more than any other. What ...

Quick and Easy Technical SEO

What do you like best? The Chrome plug-in is the quickest and easiest way to get a quick overview of a client or competitor's website authority according to backlinks and referring domains. What do you dislike? The metrics differ from other technical SEO tools. This is easily overcome by comparing data within a tool rather than across tools. Recommendations to others considering the product: Get the Chrome extension. It is an excellent quick reference tool; I have used it in ...

A Powerful Tool Specialized in Backlinks

What do you like best? With strong backlink index, the backlink profile they create about any website is detailed and better than any other tool. The metrics and visualizations to analyze backlinks data is something which makes this tool different. Even the backlink history for 5 years helps to understand your SEO journey as well. Another feature I like is the trust flow & citation flow which actually helps to analyze the quality of backlinks. What do you dislike? Where in ...

Does a Great Job of Supplementing our SEO Research

What do you like best? Their linking index is huge and seems to find more than Moz's OSE & AHrefs. We tend to combine from a variety of sources and then remove duplicates. We tend to use this most for backlink analyses and finding problem sites. What do you dislike? Interface is a little dated and their charts would be better if we could edit them or tweak the display. The graphs and charts don't mesh well in our presentations. Recommendations to others considering the product: ...

Poor UX but extensive database

What do you like best? Majestic has an unmatched database of backlinks. What do you dislike? The UX is very (very) poor and the product can be frustrating to use. Looks like they stopped working on the product years ago. Recommendations to others considering the product: Disregard the interface and focus on the product itself. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Following the results of our link-building efforts

Great data, but still figuring out all the ways to use it

What do you like best? Everyone said Majestic was the gold standard in terms of backlink tracking, and I'd agree that the robust-ness of their data certainly fits that description. Their Trust Flow is really the only domain-level metric I care about besides just overall SEO visibility. Using them to find worthwhile sites to target for linkbacks or to find domains in our backlink profile that are spammy is easy and straightforward. What do you dislike? It seems like, with all the ...

Great tool for analyzing backlink profile

What do you like best? The fact that links are grouped into types and the fact that they have trust and citation. Those two metrics alone give me a tangible number to grasp onto to be able to gauge the quality of the backlink profile of our site. At the same time I can do the same thing for our competitors to figure out where we should be looking for our next link building campaign. What do you dislike? A lot of times the tool will tell you you have bad links but it has no idea at ...
