A good platform, not excited about the forced upgrade to M2

The CMS leaves a lot to be desired, it's incredibly time consuming to create robust landing pages What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Extremely powerful, flexible framework...but not without its headscratchers

What do you like best? Extensibility of the core modules, and loads of factory-default settings and features that handle the majority of basic grunt work -- e.g. catalog pagers, checkout, user security, etc. Also, support is very good and the community is very strong. What do you dislike? The naming conventions can be extremely confusing at times, due in part to its contextual nature which often leads to confusion when referencing message boards or documentation. Recommendations to ...

Solid Platform but Shopify is Superior

What do you like best? Magento is flexible and easy to setup. Their mobile design is very nice and magento stores generally load quite quick. Also, because it allows 3rd party integrations it's favored by a lot of devs for all kinds of marketplaces. What do you dislike? My main issue with magento is that under heavy load a magento store with throw all kinds of crazy errors after the back end becomes unstable. I've experienced this developing for a retail store that sold shoes and some of ...

A Great Way to Monitor/Edit Your Website

What do you like best? I liked that the user interface wasn't too difficult to learn. Once logged in, you can pretty easily find your way around. My job was to keep the product images on the company's website up to date, as well as add and edit product descriptions. This was fairly easy to do and didn't take to long to figure out. What do you dislike? The software would sometimes give you error messages when trying to save product details if there was something wrong with the product ...

Best in class

What do you like best? It's pretty powerful, scalable and very flexible platform. I built a variety of extensions of it and a bunch of websites. You can easily get whatever you need just by adding third-party extensions. Besides that, there are a bunch features out of the box. What do you dislike? It can be heavy and complicated at first view. Also, it can be complicated to find developers, but it worth it. Recommendations to others considering the product In my personal opinion, it's ...

Complex E-Commerce Software with a lot of possibilities, but also a lot of work.

What do you like best? With Magento you can basically customize everything, which is great. It is also one of the most used e-commerce software, so you'll find answers to a lot of questions and problems. What do you dislike? If you want to change anything in Magento it is pretty much always a huge load of work. If you start using Magento you will need a full time developer at hand at all times! If you don't have one, do not use Magento! The setup of Magento is hard, adding a module is ...

Versatile, powerful, yet easy to use!

What do you like best? I love the ease of integrating our our ERP with the platform. Combined with the user friendly GUI, Magento is a powerful eComm platform. I also like the extensions that easily bolt on. What do you dislike? While I really like how there are so many add-ins, the costs can add up really quickly. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I moved a site from a different platform because of the number of SKUs my client ...

Strong basis for api driven ecommerce

What do you like best? The fact that most errors or scenarios you will encounter have been encountered before, and can usually be solved by work arounds or extensions. What do you dislike? Some long term bugs and slow api call processing What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Api based stock and sales sync
