Upfront learning costs are not ideal, but could be mitigated if you have enough documents/admin itme. What problems is Lucidworks Fusion solving and how is that benefiting you? Learning how many documents are re-created pointlessly internally. We can improve our own processes.

The added benefits from using the licensed version are what sold our company. We have the ability to enrich queries sent to Solr by doing lookups within query pipelines.
