Transaction Fee Penalty

Great software technically - if you decide against using their expensive payment service though, this software product is not for you. After several months of using the software, suddenly a payment service fee popped up on the monthly bill, which Lightspeed wants you to pay for not using their payment solutions. I have been with LightSpeed for nearly a year

I have been with LightSpeed for nearly 1 year with 100% satisfaction and then I lost my internet connection one weekend. I phoned them first thing Monday morning and was told to purchase a EE dongle from Argos for £65 with 60gb of data on it until they could restore my service. I was told to email my receipt and they would credit my account for the cost of the dongle. We bought a business that used…

We bought a business that used Lightspeed. On 12/22/23 the previous owner submitted a ticket and sent her rep an email, telling LS that they needed to transfer ownership to us. We were sent paperwork and filled it out immediately as we were closing on 1/1/24. Rep said everything was fine. In 1/2/24 everything was still in previous owners name. I called, gave up after 4 times of waiting for over 20 minutes, put in tickets and emailed our rep. Nothing. A few days and a plethora of calls, ...

Lightspeed Extorting Customers to Buy Added Services

I believe LIGHTSPEED is illegally extorting its customers. We are a retail business. Since we opened in 2017, we have been using Lightspeed POS and Cayan credit card processing. This year (and my understanding from other complaints over the last year on a reddit thread) Lightspeed is FORCING customers to sign up for their payment processing service, and if we refuse, we are being penalized with LARGE monthly fees.

Lightspeed Extorting Customers to Buy Added Services

Lightspeed Sales Rep really came through for us

Our Sales Rep, Latasha, really came through for us when we received a bluetooth credit card reader that simply would not pair with our iPad. Also, the dock that came with it broke the first time we undocked the reader after charging it. Called regular Customer Support and they told us they could not warranty a 'damaged' item.
