Infuriating company. Needs to be investigated
They bought Vend which worked great and then proceed to hamstring functionality and Jack up prices. It’s an absolute RUBBISH product now. Have some companies using Vend for a few years so recommended to one of my others and the new versions under Lightspeed X are absolute trash. You don’t have inventory reports? You don’t have granular sales reports? What the hell reason? You OWN people’s data?? The data is all there and you’re holding it to ransom so they would pay a HELL of a lot more to ...

Awful Support
Their awful level of support and customer service never ceases to surprise me - thank goodness we are about to move our POS away from them. Do not be fooled in by them, when you need help and support you will just be passed from one person to another, with nobody taking any ownership of your problem or even having empathy with the issues you are experiencing. I'm not convinced how genuine a lot of the 5 star reviews are on here, but read through the 1 star reviews and make a balanced ...

If you can get them, try them!
Efficient and friendly installation team, who did a neat and tidy job. Great support from their Customer Service dept. in setting up an additional Nokia beacon. Very impressive download and upload speeds, for a terrific introductory offer, with competitive pricing thereafter. My former provider, UPP, with whom I was quite satisfied, has sold out to, of all people, Virgin Media. I wanted nothing to do with them, but was lucky enough to find Lightspeed. Lightspeed order no. Lightspeed is using extortion methods…
Lightspeed is using extortion methods to force their customer base to drop its current Card Processing company and switch to their card processing service. If you do not switch to Lightspeed, they threaten you with an increase of over $800.00 per/mo. Total Extortion.

We have been with Lightspeed since 2013. Everything was going reasonably well until they came out with their own payment processing. I would give zero stars if that was an option. Now if you don't use their payment processing on top of your annual renewal fee they charge a $400 penalty every month. Then this month with no notice to us the penalty changed to $535 per month. BUYER BEWARE! They can not keep the software running properly, lately it has been down so often that people using their ...

Sammy Z knows his stuff..
The wait time was lengthy about 45 minutes, however once I was put through to an agent I could see why, great service is worth waiting for.. Sammy Z was excellent, informative, and got things sorted with ease, whatever he gets paid it's not nearly enough..

Transaction Fee Penalty
Great software technically - if you decide against using their expensive payment service though, this software product is not for you. After several months of using the software, suddenly a payment service fee popped up on the monthly bill, which Lightspeed wants you to pay for not using their payment solutions. Although we were not informed about this during our contract negotiations and therefore our contracts include no such fee, Lightspeed will shut down your back office regularly on ...
