Lightspeed is probably the best platform
Lightspeed is probably the best omnichannel platform. It is a one-stop shop for retailers and restaurateurs. Easy to use point of sale system and payments processing through their terminals is easy and convenient. Inventory management capabilities is unmatched.

Non-existent customer service and support.
I have been a Lightspeed customer for over a decade. Two months ago my monthly bill doubled and I was charged two weeks earlier than usual. Two months later after several phone calls and emails I am yet to get a response as to why. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

GREED GREED GREED LightSpeed is a lesson to any company that over stretches its self to buy all the competition and then finds it beholden to its shareholders to increase share price and pay dividends. When I first signed up, I chose Lightspeed because the sales team told me I could keep Moneris as my payment processor. The competitors required you to use them to process payments. Midway through 2023, Lightspeed announced that to continue using their POS, you had to use them as your payment processor. In return, the monthly software fee would be reduced by almost half. Unethical data harvesters.
They're going to sell you the software from anywhere from 1,000 to $3,000 sell you the hardware and then they're going to go through the application process. This is when they start data harvesting. They're going to ask you for one thing after another and they're going to keep going until you start fussing and then they'll approve you. They charged too much for everything there are plenty of credit card processing companies that are going to take less than 2%. don't even think about trying ...

Erica, my account manager. For 2 years I've tried to get answers on my account and how to utilize the tools for my business. Used to be great, now horrible
I have been with Lightspeed Restaurant (L-Series) for almost 7 years and I used to love them. Over the course of the past 6 months, they have gone completely downhill and as a result I do not recommend anyone signing up with them. 2 year customer searching for another POS
We have had this POS system for 2 years. Pros: They have a lot of reports. Their credit card fees are minimal. Cons: Customer service is non-existent. Usually, when I call, I am on the phone on hold for at least an hr. This time (I am currently on hold) I have been on hold for over 5 hours!
