Liferay DXP

What do you like best? Liferay DXP improves on the already strong platform we've had with Liferay EE 6. It is very easy to use but offers a ton of powerful features, great integration with existing and proven technologies and is easily extended if needed. We are in the process of upgrading now and are looking forward to continuing with Liferay for the forseeable future. What do you dislike? We had a problem with a custom stylesheet based on the delivered style that was causing a lot ...

designer, developer, and end user of liferay 5.2 and 6.1

What do you like best? Liferay is a leader in portal development. As such, it has a very large community of developers, so trouble shooting, code samples, tutorials, and add-ons are all readily available to the uninitiated. What do you dislike? There is little that I dislike, other than the steep learning curve for non-java programmers. Enriching

What do you like best? It's a big pile of useful code that I can adjust to my needs pretty easy. What do you dislike? I don't like incomplete documentation, for example: I've used one JavaScript component, I've forgot the name, that generates repeating fields, I couldn't find documentation about this and in general Liferay JS APIs are not well documented. Recommendations to others considering the product: Buy EE with support. Hire at least one experienced dev in the beginning. ...

Powerful and effective

What do you like best? Liferay enables is to deliver powerful applications to our clients with real business value both fast and effective. What do you dislike? Three are too many smart features that are non-documented and basically only known by the developer that implemented the feature. What problems are you solving with the product?
