It's free and good…

Five stars because it is free and almost as good as MS Office. I like being back in the old office ui, I never really liked the MS ribbon. Libreoffice does do it's own version of the ribbon. I've never tried it. I cancelled my Microsoft Office subscription as I have retired and no longer need or want to pay for it. Libreoffice isn't far behind. One complaint I have seen is the open document formula is not recognised across all office software, It's easy enough to save the documents as ...

LibreOffice is a great alternative to MSOffice…

LibreOffice is a great alternative to paid office software. I've been using it for a long time now and I have witnessed the improvement through the years. Kudos to the men and women behind this excellent software. Thank you.

One Star is probably one too much

One Star is probably one too much. Typical softwear produced by people who have no idea what the market needs. Best to avoid and stick with Word if you can.

How many stars is it worth?

How many stars is it worth? Performance and ease of setting up in Windows / ult – 10 pro – 11 pro) it is 5 ***** star as it is superior to Microsoft Word in all the paid versions. Libre Office Writer handle 5 languages no sweat with perfect spelling control, where Microsoft Word cannot find out which language you are using and spell check is impossible if you write in more than one language. In Linux even latest 7.6.5 version is clumsy. Not that it is not easy to get going, as it is ...

Libre office is having issues for awhile

Libre office is having issues, constant overriding settings and refusing to print duplex pages on printers that can print double sided is more than annoying, it is worth uninstalling garbage that doesn't work. Worked in 21.1 mint 21.2 stopped printing double sided and in 21.3 it still refuses to print duplex pages. all settings were set and worked then it updated and started printing only single sided pages. congrats grade "F".

"The center for all of LibreOffice components."

What do you like best about LibreOffice? This "office" system does everything that's needed in your office from word processing to presentations, with 100% compatibility to several other office-like products, and does it in a wonderful no-cost format. What do you dislike about LibreOffice? No e-mail software is included, but there are many alternatives, that can be used in conjunction with LibreOffice. Recommendations to others considering LibreOffice: Grab something from the public domain, ...

"Convenient bug buggy"

What do you like best about LibreOffice? I am user of the spreadsheet section mostly. Most of the functionality work out the box. What do you dislike about LibreOffice? About the same topic, it has several many buggy behaviors , some of them very nasty. I wouldn't recommend if you need to work with 100% compatibility. Undesiderable behaviros, unpredicted results in some cases. What problems is LibreOffice solving and how is that benefiting you? Basic spreadhseet use. If you pretend use it ...

Semi-reasonable, getting worse however.

As it is free it is reasonable. However recently it has taken to overwriting user defined aspects. The reason they are user defined is that the user wants them. So some idiot deciding to ignore the user settings and change them is more then annoying. It shouldn't happen. My version appears to have decided to update itself twice. It is not set for auto-update, and until this occurred things were about right. Now they are not.

"Libre Office is Perfect!"

What do you like best about LibreOffice? Microsoft has joined the cloud, and LibreOffice has not. Libre office continues to improve its features and functionality, even though other freeware products do not. It is very easy to maintain and install, and all of the documents can readily be shared with others using a myriad of products. What do you dislike about LibreOffice? The only downside I have experienced while using LibreOffice is in their Writer product. I write letters, other ...
