Joomla is highly flexible

What do you like best? I've been using Joomla since its infancy, and the open source CMS is my favorite among the crowd. The built-in options for things like templating, menus, and use access control make a ton of sense and allow you almost unlimited flexibility to build a website. It has a strong, supportive development community and I'm not sure there's much that can't be accomplished with Joomla. What do you dislike? For the most basic sites, Joomla can be a bit too much sometimes, and ...

Excellect CMS For Building Websites!!

What do you like best? I love the flexibility that I have to create exactly the kind of website that I want. Having access to numerous extensions only adds to the possibilities. What do you dislike? I think, compared to other Content Management Systems, Joomla is probably more complex. For the advanced user, the complexity may only be considered to be a CMS with vast capabilities, but for more inexperienced users, Joomla could easily be seen as far too overwhelming. Recommendations to ...

Outdated, clunky but functional

What do you like best? The advanced ability to go into the code and edit any CSS on the pages. It is very well suited for a technical designer. What do you dislike? Mostly everything. Not being able to upload files with spaces in the title, having to add an image to the library before uploading it on a page, complicated page nesting, etc. The dashboard is confusing for a first time user to say the least. It took me a few months to navigate comfortably in the menus. Perhaps there is too ...

Joomla Learning Curve

What do you like best? I liked the way that Joomla is a CMS platform and makes less work of website and blog updates. It has more back end options for customizing than Word Press. What do you dislike? I found their back-end administration very confusing. All the interface controls were in jargon speak known to only hard core users of Joomla. As far as their email capabilities I made a couple attempts to run a distribution from my database of subscribers to no avail. I could not find any ...
