Decent Software but Updates Are Annoying

What do you like best? It's pretty simple once you have it set up and have it all formatted. It's pretty simple layout and you can navigate it pretty easily. It works well and it adaptable and runs fast, isn't slow at all. What do you dislike? We've been using Joomla for years and while it worked well for us as a small business, as we've grown and wanted to add more to our website, it's struggled. There are always new updates and changes we have to make to keep our website looking the ...

Jomla, a cms with everything you need

What do you like best? Joomla is a content management system that has everything. With a few basic php notions you can create a good site where you have useful and complete modules. What do you dislike? The only thing that can dislike me joomla that being a very popular content manager can have security problems. Being a prefabricated product it can be exposed to vulnerability. Although in many it can be solved with an update but not enhancing it creates this problem. Recommendations to ...

For someone who doesn't know code, Joomla is not super intuitive

What do you like best? I like that we have a cost-effective way to handle content management for our documentation site and corporate website. As a writer, I can get in and make changes with out always needing to contact our designer to help. What do you dislike? Joomla just doesn't seem that easy to use. Formatting can be a massive pain; that's why I say that you should know html really well. However, even when our designer, who knows html, tries to solve certain issues, it can take her ...

Great software...really!

What do you like best? Not hard to learn on the job. I started using it with very little coding experience and could do a ton within a couple months. Let's just say my boss was very pleased with my work. What do you dislike? There could be some limitations that you would have to find answers for. But there is an amazing community that has posted tons of questions and answers so it would only take a quick google search to find the answer I was looking for. Recommendations to others ...

CMS System is very functional for a non-technical user

What do you like best? Easy to understand the back-end editing process and pieces What do you dislike? Can be challenging to manage if the website is more than basic Recommendations to others considering the product I don't think I'd use this for an e-commerce site, but it's great fro smaller business who can't afford a website agency or in-house website management team, as it's easier to understand and function. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have ...

Not comparable to WP

What do you like best? The interface for the admin is sleek and very easy to learn and use. The modules and themes are laid out clearly. What do you dislike? There wasn't a lot of "free" plugins to choose from and when there was, the functionality of them wasn't very robust compared to WP. I had a very hard time to find reputable plugins. Recommendations to others considering the product Look into the functionality of the plugins and limitations before starting. What business problems ...

Versatile Opensource CMS But Requires Tech Savvy Staff

What do you like best? You can do so much with Joomla - I don't even think we used it to its full potential. There's a multitude of settings to create the exact site you want. What do you dislike? With so many options and minute variants, our less tech savvy admins sometimes struggles to utilize Joomla to its full potential. Recommendations to others considering the product Try looking at Joomla sites you like and contact others so you can see what the backend looks and feels like. ...
