Easy to Learn, Great for Templated Websites
What do you like best? The ease of updating content that lives in multiple places of the website on one page, once you learn how content nodes work the rest is easy. What do you dislike? Joomla makes me miss wysiwyg softwares, you trade your custom page designs for templates. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Once the page templates are set up it's easy to maintain and add to the site.

Joomla! is cumbersome and complicated
What do you like best? The only thing I like is Joomla! can handle a huge database and pull content reliably. What do you dislike? With Joomla! being open source, its developers keep reworking it (some for good reason-security, but when they put out an update it often completely changes the user interface and it scrambles the display of components, requiring time on the users part to go back in, reorder everything, and get the web page to display "as normal." I would never choose this ...

An Important CMS to learn and utilize
What do you like best? Joomla is a relatively easy product to learn and there are lots of plugins which you can install to improve your website and it's performance. What do you dislike? Like most CMS's, security can be at risk. However, security might be less of a risk on Joomla than Wordpress since Wordpress is so popular. There are pros and cons, but you definitely want to be cognizant of security. I also wish the media manager was a little bit less clunky and more user friendly. ...

Does the job, but not very user friendly
What do you like best? The framework is very powerful, flexible and extensible. There are many plugins and extensions that allow you to add another level of interactivity to your website. What do you dislike? In terms of user experience, Joomla is one of the worst and less intuitive content management systems I have worked with. The learning curve is really big and you need to invest a lot of time in order to learn how to get around. Recommendations to others considering the product You ...
