Excellent APM tool

What do you like best? Instana is tracking both tradition and new apps and provides details insight into application performance What do you dislike? Lacking Dashboarding functionality but i heard that they are releasing soon. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? we are using instana to solve our day to day app performance issue.

Instana Experience

What do you like best? Quick and easy dashboard. Support for Kubernetes and Openshift. The Node.js Collector is very comprehensive and is kept up-to-date with frequent updates. Nice selection of charts and graphs and most queries are very responsive. I also love that you can bookmark any page and share it or return to it later. What do you dislike? What do you like best? Their APM based around observed traffic is clever. The scope of visibility is profound. What do you dislike? APM is never complete, Instana is still creating integrations. Works better with cloud and opensource based workloads than proprietary fat stacks. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Proactive alerting on problems

Amazing Support

What do you like best? Their support team, bar none, is the best i've worked with. They go above and beyond to not only answer your question, but use that question to further improve their product. What do you dislike? There isn't a good mobile experience. This makes it a bit annoying to show pages from Instana to team members on phones during outages. Instana is one of the best APM products on the market

What do you like best? Works well with containers and priced well. Easy to install in our container environment. Intuitive interface. Easy to see any ongoing issues. We are able to send alerts to Slack. What do you dislike? We initially reached out shortly after hearing about them at re:Invent. Complete Infrastructrr and Application Monitoring

What do you like best? That instana comes up with a lot o metrics and information without configurations. What do you dislike? That the agents need root access to run perfectly. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? In daily business we benefit from the messages "Disks fill up faster", "Disk will be fill in x Hours". We also identify network problems and JDK Problems (CPU Starvation).

Automatic APM

What do you like best? Easy to install in different infraestructures. The alerts are automatic and have preconfigure conditions. What do you dislike? Does not have a mobile application for check the information on the go. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Find the root cause faster, understand dependencies between systems and get alerts when something is wrong.

Instana

What do you like best? How easy it is to install Instana, very little configuration is needed. What do you dislike? We have 2 Instana tenants, one for Production, and one for everything else. There is no built-in way to move configurations and settings between these two tenants. This is a nuisance.
