Simple and effective for everyday crawling and scraping purposes
What do you like best? I love the ability to generate URL lists to crawls from a parent crawler that I can set up visually in import.io’s interface to grab the URI’s of pages I want it to then crawl and scrape recursively. The ability to program import.io visually simplifies a complex process known as “training”, and it allows me to grab only the most relevant information for my output files that I want to then analyze in a data analytics platform. Strange interface but legitimately gets the job done
What do you like best? Love that it actually does what it says it will! Most importantly! What do you dislike? I find it hard to interact w the interface and wish it was cleaner and more elegant What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It is a great time saver!

Has been non-responsive; UI confusing and unsupported
What do you like best? Import.io has a somewhat unique harvesting offering that can fill a niche requirement for public ratings and reviews data. What do you dislike? For a long while, we couldn't get an account manager nor other import.io staff to respond to our pleas. We eventually learned they have shifted their strategy to focus mostly on acquiring large accounts and will no longer bid on proposals unless they are paid for their time. Bad data, bad experience, bad company.
This is the most horrible experience I’ve ever had with a vendor. I’ve hired them for two projects, neither of which have returned the desired results in the agreed upon timeframe. The sales process was incredibly confusing, and it was clear they were completely disconnected from the services team once the projects kicked off. On multiple occasions the services team has sent inappropriate emails talking about the insignificance of our project and accidentally included us. The kicker is: ...

It's an 'okay' tool, with the worst customer service
What do you like best? The user-interface was easy to navigate. A certain website, such as a Forum with multiple pages don't work with the tool, but some websites do. What do you dislike? I would advise anyone with looking at this tool to think twice about purchasing and to read their Terms & Conditions very carefully. Terrible customer care across the …
Terrible customer care across the board, from their system to their people...At first they over-billed my account more than $1000+ and it was hell to try and get ahold of someone to resolve it and issue a refund. Recently there was fraudulent use of our account, and it was an even worst issue to resolve. Promises too much, charges too much
Very bad experience. Sales guy promised too much, tool did not live up to expectations and generally very bad SAAS terms. Lure clients into monthly payments without user accept and impossible to get out of again.Overall one of the worst companies I have ever bought from in professional regards.
